Hey guys, I'm pretty new here.

So, I've never taken my driver's license tests in my native country (Portugal) and I'm wondering about an alternative an US friend of mine was gushing about. Have you guys heard of this site? http://driver-start.com/montana

Any opinions/experience? Am I even elligible for it?

Thanks in advance!

That's not an alternative; it's a private website that has sample questions to prepare people for each state's driving test. Each state's DMV has official resources on this too. For Montana, start here.

I know in Michigan it was pretty easy for my wife who did not have a DL when she came here. She got her learners permit after passing a 40 question written test, then because of her age, they waived the practice time requirement so she could take her driving test from a private local company then go back to get her DL. In our case we got the learners permit soon after her arrival in the US on her K1, then used those two plus months to practice. We renewed the permit with her EAD for some additional practice, then when she got her GC she took her driver test and got a two year license. Can't speak for Montana, but I imagine it is similar. As to third party sites, I investigated a few of those when going through the process, but did not find them very helpful.
