Ditto. Your case will be forwarded to California (Texas and Nebraska both no longer process I 129f's).

I don't know how many posts I've seen on here where someone has asked to whom do they make the check out. A search would have found it. Actually, researching would have given the answer too. On the USCIS Website where the forms can be downloaded, it says "Fees should be made payable to Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services." You can make your check out to me if you like!

I think the I-129F itself says the Dept of Homeland Security in its instructions, whereas the USCIS site's immigration forms page says either/or. We made ours out to USCIS (well 'US Citizenship & Immigration Services', which involved Fiance writing out 3 cheques 'cos he failed to fit all that on the first two!), and it was banked with no problems at all.

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Your case will be forwarded to California. Texas and Nebraska do not handle I-129F's anymore. That's why CA is taking 30-40 days longer to handle the visa's as Vermont. From the day you I-129F is accepted (NOA1) you can count on it taking just a day or two longer then 3 months in most cases however each case is individual. Good luck and enjoy the process. Ken

Do we really have a choice in the matter whether the service center is any good or not?

Dealing with the government, you get what you get.
