proof of relationship for nvc

In the document checklist it say I should include proof of relationship. Isn't it like pics and chats that were suppose to bring to the interview or is it something else?

Recommend always brings everything can. Pictures, chat history, texts, any "gifts" or financial support given(the documentation of it like through the agency it was sent through).

If it's for the interview then take everything because one thing they say they want to see is the "continuance of the relationship" after the initial filing.

No it said on the document cover sheet that's from nvc

depends on what embassy some embassies frown upon money being exchanged but pictures chats phone records tickets of flights are good

It means your marriage certificate. But you can also include the other evidences like pics etc but your marriage certificate is a must.

Are you looking at the list for the financial documents to send to NVC? If so, proof of relationship is if a joint sponsor is using a family member (e.g if your brother is a joint sponsor and is combining his income with his wife's to reach the required amount) then they need to send proof that they are related (in this case it would be the marriage certificate of your brother and his wife).

Open up the section called "obtain financial evidence" and you will see:

Proof of relationship If you completed Form I-864A, submit evidence that proves your relationship to the sponsor (the person who filed Form I-864). You can prove your relationship by submitting a photocopy of one of the documents below:

Birth certificate;

Marriage certificate;

Adoption certificate;

The petitioner or joint sponsors most recent Federal Income Tax Returns, if you are listed as a dependent; or

A signed, written statement describing the relationship.
