Hello everyone,

I have a question concerning the Individual Annual Income on I-864.

I was going through my AOS and I noticed that Part 6.2 has the same amount as Part 6 19.a

Means that the amount written on the boxes above is the same one written on the box below.

My lawyer got the information from the U.S Individual Income Tax Return (Adjusted Gross income)

Is this correct??? cause I have a feeling that it is NOT the same thing.

Could you please help me out and tell me if I need to change that information. Where do you get the amount to put on the "Current individual Annual Income"?

Thank you

hi

no, not really

current is current, it is an estimate of this year's income, what you estimate will be your income for 2016

most recent tax would be the last tax filed to the irs, which would be 2015

hi

aside from the taxes that you will be sending, you will be sending your paystubs. you can also send a letter from your employer stating how much your earn hourly, or monthly

and lastly, you can send copies of your w2s with your taxes if you are employed

hi

where does she receive her retirement from, social security for example

if she receives monthly social security, she can get a letter from the social security office stating how much she receives monthly, or how much they send her

but also, if her income hasn't changed from last year, then the estimate income would be the same as last year's

No, they told me in a letter from NVC it was wrong

i kept doing it as this years income which was higher and they said it had to match the IRS tax returns for the year before

last years tax returns and if this year is different you need a statement from employer saying this or current pay stubs

Ok, what did they say was wrong? Do you mean that all three boxes (The ones that I checked in Red) have to have the same amount or is it like aleful says?

I am confused.

Thank you

In my case. I put my current income for this year (My income before tax biweekly x 26). And I sent 3 months worth of pay stubs and a letter from my employer.

For the other 3 boxes, I put the last three years of tax returns (2013, 2014 and 2015).
