EDIT: I meant DS-261 Choice of address and agent

Its better to choose your husband as the agent since he is in the US..it will be easier for nvc to contact him and vice versa..

I call the NVC today and they told me that they are processing case from November 2015

And they will send me case number and email when they get close to November 2016

That for F2 visa

I look at the web site and the date said 22-November 2015 and that date the same for next month and the past 2 months

Anyone know other place with correct date date ?

Is that mean we not getting processed till next year ?

We get case number from the NVC but the email say they the case not eligible for farther process do to annual limite on the number of immigrantvisas that the Department of State can issue

Anyone get the same answer?

Why would they say so? We do not fall into the category where no of visas are limited? isn't it?

Emm do you mean f2 visa? I think it is not under the immigrant visa category..and if the email said it like that i think there is a quota on that specific visa category meaning there is only limited number of visa they are granting for a specific duration of time..

My wife (us citizen) is already in usa with our children sent my i130 application on the 18 august 2016 got the receipt on the 24th of august am I likely to get my petition approved this year? I am in New Zealand so living in limbo is no fun I have to say. Lincoln Nebraska is processing mine.

Any ideas on time frame I am realistically looking at?

August - time to decide - NOA2 - Dec if really lucky. Not a believer so working to end Jan or Feb because of holidays and end of year lack of staff.

Hope to get into NVC before distraction of new President appointed and internal requests or limits on budget start.

Like you, started to tread water, now going back to my business and putting effort in to avoid thinking about it. Just wished I was in the UK, Germany or the Philippines or a CR-1, K-1 and not a IR-1 filer !!

NVC - Embassy - expect 3 months to clear as you need 1 month at NVC :dancing: just for Nebraska to pass over the papers!

:secret: Advice in lot of forums is as soon as you get NVC update, wait 2 weeks then telephone for case number

.... just used the icons to cheer up the bleak picture .....:jest:

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between February 11, 2017 and February 23, 2017*.

Visajourney guess is my worst outlook !!! It keeps slipping backwards so anyone reading this

GET YOUR TIMELINE UPDATED AS ####### DATA IN = ####### DATA OUT for all August filers !

Thanks, I find its so crazy when I look at some people's timelines and their petition is approved yet mine was submitted earlier and by Nebraska, just don't get it.

Would be great to get the noa2 this month just for piece of mind but I have sold it to myself Jan sometime so I don't get disappointed.

My husband is a US citizen and has applied for my CR1. I received my NOA1 in Aug 2016; so my i-130 is pending. My husband is planning to change his job. Will it have any impact on my pending i-130?
