Well after it was sent to NVC on october 31th, it took only 16 days for them to give us a case number and an e-mail. We are now going to start the NVC process this weekend. Just to keep everyone updated.

Hi, got approved also. I just want to ask, did you call nvc to get your case number and provided them your email?

I dont know what the others did but we waited for the case number..some do call after a week or two from receiving the noa2 by mail.. fron our experience we were approved on oct 21 (online) received the noa by mail after a week. We were planning to call nvc after a month based on what is advised on the noa2 but fortunately nvc emailed us on nov 17.

I read from somewhere that their packet somewhat got lost. I guess if you have lots of time and for your peace of mind you can call nvc after 2 weeks and ask if they received your I130.?? and if yes ask for the casenumber and invoice id number or IIN so you can start early..one piece of advise though, call after they open or just before they close..itll save you from being put on hold for a long time.

I just waited for the case number to be assign. It came sooner than expected. I would've called if it was pass 4 weeks.

When the case number was assigned they also sent me a bill and some info on what steps to take to my email.

Hope that helped, anyway I am still waiting for my IV bill to be process it been a couple of days. I got all paper work ready to be send,

as soon as I complete the ds 260. Good luck

Hi there, we got the noa2./ I-797 in the mail today. My husband (petitioner) would want to wait the notice from nvc instead of calling them ahead. If ever, can I be the one to call them from abroad? Thanks again for the help. Best regards!

Another question please..

In filing DS-260, which I believe is suggested to be filled out by the applicant (me). Should the address be in the US (petitioner) or the country where the beneficiary (me) currently resides?

Thank you in advance!
