Does anyone know once I-130 visa is approved can you still go to America under VWP and visit family for a few weeks whilst waiting for NVC? Also has anyone got a timeframe for how long the NVC takes to process once I-130 is approved. my wife and daughter left Australia last week and I am desperate to get over there also once this visa is approved.

I have entered the US under the VWP after I had submitted the I-130 and it was never mentioned when I went through immigration.  You would have to be extremely unlucky to be denied.  Just make sure you have a return ticket and be honest with them if they say anything.  I don't think Australia is considered a high risk country for immigration fraud.

BTW, the Sydney Consulate does electronic processing for the NVC stage so many people are getting reviewed within about 2 weeks instead of the 11 for manual processing.  The NVC won't tell you that but one recently was approved within 5 days after emailing their docs (someone from Brazil).

Yes, you can. I've visited three times since filing the I-130, whereof two times after the I-130 was approved.

At the first visit after the I-130 was approved, I used the APC kiosks that are available at major airports (not at Newark, terminal B, annoyingly though) and I got through just like on previous trips. The CBP officer only asked how long time I was staying. I was only staying for 8 days and perhaps you will get more questions if you're staying longer.

The second visit was after the application had reached NVC and we had just got the welcome letter. At that time I arrived at Newark where they only have manual processing (at terminal B, terminal C has APC-kiosks). I just told the officer that I was visiting my wife. Here's a summary of how that went. (It went well.)

Once the I-130 and NVC is complete and you enter the USA are you able to work straight away whilst waiting for the Green Card to arrive? Does anyone know if you can and if not how long the wait is to start work?

From this page: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

"At the bottom of either a CR-1 Spouse Visa or IR-1 Spouse Visa is the following sentence, "Upon Endorsement Serves As Temporary I-551 Valid For One Year." The endorsement is a standard CBP admission stamp with applicable information written in by the officer. This allows the visa itself to act as a temporary green card before the actual green card arrives in the mail."

So you can technically work as soon as you enter the country.

After being approved at the USCIS on the 18th of March 2017.Our case was sent to the Department of State and we received our NVC Welcome letter on Monday. And i thank God so much. Now we are going to start with the steps at the NVC. Please can anyone tell me which agent is advisable to choose cos we are a bit confused whether my husband being the petitioner should be his own agent or choose someone else. ''And please can i get to know how long it will take the whole process at the NVC?  Thanks so much for your correspondence. Hope everyone who hasn't been approved at USCIS will soon get some good news.  All the best everyone.

Congratulations! & Welcome to the NVC phase.

Now we are going to start with the steps at the NVC. Please can anyone tell me which agent is advisable to choose cos we are a bit confused whether my husband being the petitioner should be his own agent or choose someone else.

This is your personal choice..You could do it all by yourself with the help of the blog or appoint an attorney!

It took 5 working days for the NVC to get our case from USCIS.

4 working days from then on to get the case number and the invoice number.

and around 10-11 working days to pay the AOS,IV fee & submit the DS 260. Then we sent in our AOS & IV Package.

If your country has the privilege of Electronic processing then we are witnessing Case Completes with in 2-3 weeks of the packages being sent; Other wise the current wait time is 11 weeks.
