How many other August filers waiting for approval? It's hard to tell how many people are still waiting and how many people just haven't updated their timelines.

PD Aug 31 here, still waiting. Hopefully this week will bring good news.

PD Aug 8 here :-(

You're out of "normal processing time" so you should call them and inquire about your case if you have not done it already

Thanks for your advice. I have called them and the response was "pending background check, no time frame given"

In other words don't bother on calling back and just wait until we decide...

After being approved on 3/23, I checked again and the message changed to "case was sent to state department" on 3/27.

Is 4 days good for this type of thing? Even by pony express it should arrive by today, right?

Even if its over there already it doesn't mean its going to be processed once it arrives, they said to wait at least two weeks and then start calling to get your nvc case and invoice number, good luck!

I filed on August 12 and have still not received any updates since then.

I have also already talked to a tier 2 officer by phone and was told that the waiting time is 6-9 months and that my case is still within normal processing time.

did the officer file inquiry for you on the phone?

No, she did not file an inquiry.

I just asked if my case was approved. Several people in this forum have tried calling Nebraska SC and discovered that their case had been approved even though the website had not been updated.

I tried filing an inquiry though the website but was not given permission because my "petition is currently within the posted processing times."
