I just got the phone with a Tier 2 officer. She told that my case was approved on March 13 but website was not updated and the paperwork is coming through the mail. Maybe you can call as well?

That's nice. Please how can i call the Tier 2 Officer to find out about my case? And please which Service Center was your case approved?

8/24 and still waiting here too.  I'm gonna try some reverse psychology by not checking again for 36 hours.

"You know you don't love us, Nebraska," :-)

I even disabled the same case notifications in the app so i don't get more frustrated ?

So I called the customer support number which is +1 800-375-5283. Click the option that says you don't know your case number (this will direct your call to an agent) After stating your case # indicate that you would like to speak with a tier 2 officer. They will transfer you again. The system will record your phone number and they give you an estimated time when they will call you back. I was straightforward with their 2 Officer that my case was passed it is processing time. She checked the system and informed that I was approved but website was not updated. Nebraska processing date of 08/08/16. Good luck

I've been following this thread but haven't posted before.

Just wanted to say congrats to all those who have gotten approved so far (good luck with NVC!)

And to those still awaiting that blessed moment of approval - please keep the faith! All in God's time ;)

Also, my P/D was Aug 24th 2016, NOA1 was Aug 30th 2016 and Approval was Mar 13th 2017.

We got the email notification today....

Thank you all for posting your updates! Best wishes to you and yours!

Oh I forgot...my SC was Nebraska

Call uscis this morning and was told I'm still within normal processing time .they are working on cases filed on August 9

PD august29

They should have said "you're still within abnormal processing time" California is already end of October, I've heard they are going to replace the LIN for SSC (Snail Service Center) ?

Unfortunately, Nebraska is by far the slowest service center and only gets slower each month. I read up a lot on NSC while I was waiting there and it is clear they are very understaffed. There also seem to be more petitions filed than ever before each year. I know it isn't news to anyone, and it isn't a positive view to have, but it is the harsh reality.

What I did to help myself mentally prepare for the wait was to give myself a realistic timeline. I didn't get my hopes up that we would be approved faster than the current average processing times, and VisaJourney's timeline data helped give me an accurate picture of where USCIS really stood with their current processing times. It was tough every month when the VJ timeline would slow down, readjust, and even go backwards, but it really kept me informed. Just following USCIS data would have set me up for major disappointment, as the 5 months posted on their website couldn't be more inaccurate.

Keep the faith everyone, be realistic, and know that things get much better after Nebraska.
