Probably the most recently stated date, Sept.6. Interesting that the date changed. Have you thought about calling USCIS to ask why the receipt date changed?

Yes it surprises me. No i haven't thought of calling them yet. I think i should probably try and call them. Thanks.

I sure hope all this (meaning arriving in the USA with my wife having her visa) can be done by early August. My current job ends at the end of July, and next job will start in mid-August. I thought by starting the process in August of last year we were ahead of the game. Now I'm losing hope. We've been married for 16 years and have never lived apart.

My Priority date is September 1st. And my case was transferred from Nebraska to the Texas Service Center for the them to speed up the process on our case. USCIS there chart says September 4th, 2016. Please does this mean that they have passed our priority date or there still processing up to the September 4th?

Thanks.

Filed for my step daughter ( I am a US citizen), PD is 8/24/16. Case is with NSC. Yesterday (3/10/2017) email (5 emails were received) was received stating that "name was updated" on the I 130 application, although we did not request a name change. It looked like 3/10/2017 was the last time the case was "touched". However I checked again today and it looks like the case was "touched" again as the date now shows as 3/11/2017 for last activity on the case. I have no idea what is going on. This experience is so stressful. Is the "name updated" something I should be concerned about based on anyone else's experience? Good luck to all....

To those Page 1 to 5 contributors - Thank you for getting this forum going, hope your status has improved since Aug 2016 - do you remember that far back, when we all filed with such optimism in our hearts.

A special note from Nebraska tourist services "Finding the time to pay attention to the people around you. Getting a little closer with each lazy moment. These are moments you’ll want to pack up and carry with you. Forever."

I never realised their slogan could be so true!

No need to update at all. You're not required to update your employment history beyond whatever you submitted on your G-325A at the time you filled it out. When you get to the NVC stage, you'll be filling out an affidavit of support at which time you can list your current, new job.

I am now less drunk as I savour each beer trying to remember why I asked my wife to send my I-130 by Fed-Ex for speed and guaranteed delivery at USD$100 when in reality, I could have just posted it snail mail.

So funny patience I'm having a few beers with my mate and read one of my first posts (mikethekiwi haha forgot mylogin) and realise how funny and what time has really done - how optimistic I was back then... didn't know what Nebraska meant back then.

I know August filers this is not a fun experience however your noa2 is so close keep your focus.

I officially haven't seen my kids or wife in 8months since they left NewZealand what a lifetime and Skype does not count.

I was pd 24/08 and got my noa2 on the 03/03 according to my letter.

Imagine how far away the September and October filers are  from now that should make you all feel better they have many  months to go still.

Good luck everyone

Processing date of August 8 and they totally skipped us. My money it is because they saw our names and decided to ignore our paperwork. Freaking hell...

My guess is that they have simply slowed down EVERYONE from EVERYWHERE, though your suspicions are understandable.

My friend I totally understand exactly how you feel I actually had the same thought a while back but you know we've spent all this time waiting it'd be a shame to make it all for nothing. My country is actually a great place to live and i love new zealand but i would rather die knowing i tried then die wondering what if.......

It is quite disappointing that families are kept apart like this tho and not prioritized in anyway. We simply are going about the process in the correct way but it's very cruel to families.

My daughters friends at her elementary school dont believe she has a dad, which reflects this savagely long process. I plan to eventually surprise her the day I'm allowed to fly and I will turn up to pick her up from school... her face will be priceless?

Mate you can do it, Monday in the USA today so this will be your week it's got to be.

Good luck my friend

Joke could be on you ....... your face a "picture of surprise" as she walks out with 4 boyfriends in tow and you realise .... "Ohh No ! " :jest:
