It happened, seeing the chink of light at the end of the tunnel, now get going to NVC filers Feb and remember to hassle the ******* 14 days after the acceptance to get your case number etc.

And for you the next verse:

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
Then maybe try a few

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

Only to say, best of luck ....now get going see you on the flip side

Meanwhile in a quiet corner of another part of the world,,,,,, Chamma has a partner who has just realised the reality and had a facial expression moment like this:

Thank You!!

But i am sure my partner is happy and has nothing close to this expression!! :D

!!! Yay!! So happy for you! I was wondering how it went! Yeah I'm definitely still nervous about him getting in too. But I think it's natural to feel that way when we both dealt with them being unexpectedly turned away at the airport.

So my husband is supposed to land here in Austin on the 24th at 1:30 pm... a week from today! I will let you know how it goes. Trying not to be worried!

@susanm26 Since he's a day ahead, I will know around 5:00 pm today if he was able to get on the plane. SO NERVOUS! Will update!

Hello Everyone

My husband filed for me in August and on the 1st of September 2016 USCIS sent us a notice that they have received it and it is being processed in Nebraska. But this month of February 2017 my status got updated that Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction. And that they have sent the hardcopy in mail explaining why. We where told in the hard copy that it was sent to Texas Service Center to speed up the process. Please does anyone have an idea how long it will take for it to be approved? And how long the Texas Service Center takes. Thanks. All the best to everyone in the wait.

There is no set deadline for how long a transferred application will take to be approved. For I-130 applications the Texas Service Center is currently processing those with a PD of August 2, 2016. So if your PD is somewhere in July then you should be close (maybe another 1 month). But trying to put a precise time on when you're going to be approved is nearly impossible.

I received an email this morning from the NSC regarding an I130 expedite request I made to them on the 7th for February. The email says, in part

"Type of service requested:
 -- Expedite

The status of this service request is:

Your request has been forwarded to the proper department for further review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."

On the online status it says:

"On February 14, 2017 ............Your request for expedite was assigned to an officer for response

On February 23, 2017,we sent a response to your for expedited request

On February 23, 2017, your request for expedite was completed.

Does this mean that they approved the request for expedited processing, or they're still considering whether or not to grant my request?  Your advice is much appreciated. I should add that this is a parent ir5 application. Thanks in advance for your help

So your priority date is September 1. They are processing cases from the beginning of August right now at Nebraska, so it could be more than a month before September cases are being processed. However, seeing as how your case is in Texas now, it could be processed sooner than that, so possibly within a month you could be seeing an approval. I would recommend filling out your timeline by the way.

They approved it. BTW: what were your arguments for the expedite request?
