Has to be a better way to run it.

Looking forward to uncle Donald Trump.. Lol. yay I'm sure he's excited for people like us.

He might build a new wall that our planes can't penetrate

He does not have to do anything, the airlines will go on strike .... I hope your birthdate on all forms and birth certificate match: http://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/316498-uk-press-locked-out-of-white-house-over-birthdate-snafu

We could all be 340 or more years old ..... that would cause a delay!

Is the approval ever going to come?

For Nebraska Service Center:

The USCIS website shows applications being processed as of July 2, 2016.

The VJ Processing timelines show applications being processed as of July 22, 2016

Which is to be believed? Really really frustrated right about now. Nebraska service center is the 2nd slowest of the 5  service centers!

Which is to be believed? Really really frustrated right about now. Nebraska service center is the 2nd slowest of the 5  service centers!

Note that the USCIS website states July 2 as the date of processing as of November 30, 2016. If they were really at that pace, they would be starting on September petitions soon and all of us August filers would be starting the NVC phase. So I would not trust USCIS times. It seems the USCIS stated dates are just posted there to give customer service a safety net to fall back on for when they are making extremely slow progress, like every single day for the past few months. Setting the bar low gives them a lot of room to slack off.

VJ processing times come from averages taken from all of the information loaded into the website from all users of the site. Much more reliable data because it shows what is happening each day, whereas USCIS only updates every few months, and is actually quite misleading. However, not everyone fills out their timeline, so there could be some exceptions to what the timeline shows. I have found the timelines to be pretty reliable based on different cases I have been tracking to try and get a sense of when we might have an approval.

The timelines also adjust when USCIS slows down. When I first submitted my petition back at the end of July, it said that before Christmas I could expect approval. Now that USCIS is processing petitions at a much slower rate than around the time I submitted my petition, the approximate approval date keeps getting pushed back. We started out expecting it before Christmas , now we are headed into February with no clear sign of how much longer it will take. Talk about frustrating. It is also frustrating that there is no clear way of seeing exactly what PDs are being processed, since the information on this site shows that they jump around. People at the end of July with petition approvals within the past couple of weeks, but nothing to be heard about anyone in August yet.

So, your best realistic estimate would come from the VisaJourney timelines, but again, there is no exact science to it. It is really just a "best guess" kind of deal, a lot of waiting, and hoping that approval comes more or less near what the estimate gives you, without it adjusting too much.

They are hopeless, again just charge more its a business and if they simply charged more we all would have no choice but to pay however then they would have the means to hire more staff to get the job done in a timely fashion.

I'm a manger for a job and if my crew fall behind my team either need to stay longer everyday till were up to date or I need to hire more staff if its a common pattern.

What's the problem.

Some people have kids and stuff which is just unfair by the time I get to USA it will have been close to a year since I last saw them.

Shocker

Yes it's indeed heartbreaking.

I wanna share my story..

My husband is a US citizen. He petitioned me and our eldest daughter before.

I got a green card and my daughter was naturalized US citizen.

We went back in my country, stayed here for many reasons and  got pregnant to our youngest daughter here but acquired father's US citizenship.

Technically, my green card is unexpired but outside the US for more than allowed time. So, when me and my daughters decided to come back to US, I wasn't allowed entry by the airline. My eldest daughter but still a minor had to fly alone while me and my youngest daughter were left behind.

I had to surrender my green card and re apply for a new petition.

Now my family is separated and divided in half.

All the news coming out right now about the ban and sorts makes me really worried. I miss my daughter and my husband so much. And it is terrifying to think what could come next.

On the bright side not that its the perfect senerio atleast your not completely by yourself, but USA need to consider the true reality of an actual family and what this process does, its cruel.

However we are almost at the end of January now so fingers crossed we have no delays and our process starts moving asap.

Yes because:

A cop pulls over a driver and informs him that because he was wearing his seat belt, he had just won $5,000 in a road safety program
"What will you do with the money?" the officer asks.
The man responds "I guess I'll can pay for driving school and get my license."
At that moment, his girlfriend, who is seated next to him, chimes in, "Officer, don't listen to him. He's a smart ### when he's drunk."
This wakes up the couples friend in the back seat, who, when he sees the cop, blurts out, "I knew we wouldn't get far in a stolen car."
At that moment, there is a knock from the trunk, and a voice asked, "The border....Are we on The other side yet?"

Many of us look at June and July i-130 filers ,,,,, hoping they all get completed. It is real hit and miss, a family member suggested delay is the FBI security check which takes over 90 days in some cases, not USCIS and USCIS is cross-charged by the FBI for the service. Ombudsman has been trying to make the relationship transparent since 2006 .... FBI says of course it is resources ,,,, circle of issues goes around and around so does blame and finger pointing.  just remember we have peaaace and quiet at the moment because :-    I haven't spoken to my mother-in-law for two years.  We haven't quarrelled.  I just don't like to interrupt her.
