Blair on Iraq: 'I'd do it all again'

Unrepentant and unmoved in spite of the rising death toll, Tony Blair has declared that if he was faced with the same circumstances, he would support the invasion of Iraq all over again.

[...]

The White House is also completely unapologetic about the decision to use force to tackle the supposed threat of Saddam Hussein's non-existent weapons of mass destruction, despite signs that Iraq is now headed for a full-scale civil war.

[...]

Asked by journalists whether he would do it all again, Mr Blair unhesitatingly replied: "I most certainly would."

Whether Bush and Blair ever admit it to themselves or the public, their giant joint wet-dream is a major ** up from the very start to now. I say to now since there obviously ain't no end in sight!

I'll just never understand how people can pride themselves with the violent and brutal deaths of tens of thousands of innocent civilians and the senseless deaths of their very own service men and women. You'd expect that from terrorists and other such sickos but not from leaders of countries of the free world - well, leaders of what used to be the free world anyways. Such folks are just not human.

I think Bliar's good reason for going to war as to give his soldiers something to do in case they get bored. Got to have 'em ready in case Norway decides to invade or something... :hehe:

Sometimes I think I know everything, and I regain consciousness. Seen it all, done it all, forgot most of it....

So much plenitude, yet so much emptiness

In related news:

US backs first-strike attack plan

I especially like this part:

In the first restatement of national security strategy since the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the US singles out Iran as the greatest single current danger.

The new policy backs the policy of pre-emptive war first issued in 2002, and criticised since the Iraq war.

But it stresses that the US aims to spread democracy through diplomacy.

We've knocked over the Taliban and replaced it with a "democratic" government. Yet that country was and continues to be one of the worlds greatest exporters of heroin, which provides a major source of revenue for organised crime in the US and Europe.

After 3 years in Iraq, that country is edging towards a civil war (far from Cheney's blase statement a year or so ago in which he stated quite emphatically that "the insurgency is in its last throes" - quite a throe IMO), and (according to our own people) when we pull out its likely to turn into a shiite dominated theocracy aligned with Iran.

Sounds like progress to me...

Meanwhile in fantasyland, all is well with the world. The US is a safer and freer place as a result of our pre-emptive moral crusade.

Nice :thumbs::lol:

Blair is an ### of the first degree and if it was any of his sons in the front line, we most certainly not be there!!! The wicked witch (his wife) would not have allowed it!!!!
