My wife's country, Cambodia, have no daylight savings day. So, for a few months her time is 12 hours ahead. And, for a few months her time is 11 hours ahead.

I live in an area with daylight savings.

Wow. Right now he's one hour behind because of DST but the rest of the year we're on the same time. I like it this way because he's an early to bed, early to riser and I usually call late. It's a 4 hour flight from here to there.

We had an 8 hour difference,but with DST it is now 7 hours. I generally call him at all hours and talk. But, I mainly try to call him in his morning.

My fiance is in England...and I'm in Ohio. We have a 5 hour time difference between us...and it's been that way for the last 2 years... When I'm getting up in the morning..he's at work.. when I get home from work..it's usually around 11 pm his time.... that's when I log on to the computer... and we usually talk "face to face" using our headsets and webcams. Now, before I got a computer..it was constant texting one another, leaving emails and calling one another in the evenings...and we realized with what we were shelling out in phone bills, I could get a computer..so I did..lol.

Thing is..you have to make every moment a special one.. cherish the time you are able to spend..even if it's thru a virtual connection. We usually will spend Sundays chatting and talking with one another.. I do stress not to sit at the computer all day long tho...you still have to live your life..as if your loved one is just away on a trip...and they must do the same... Think of the times when there was no computer...all you had was snail mail. Pete and I have learned that communication..no matter in what form is the key..even if it's sending your loved one a silly graphic.. That counts for something being that we are so far apart. Our love is deep and we know it's true. We have nothing but trust between one another. It is hard with the time difference..but if it's meant to be...love will find its way of helping each of you cope.

my suggession is to buy a calling card(NOMI CALL.........white one caz there r diffrent colours from this company with the same name)White card is good u can call US unlimitted from 8pm evening to 8am morning and its just 3£ one card lasts for thirty days................fun

We're 5 hours apart. I was really enjoying the last few weeks of being only 4 hours apart. Thankfully he's the one that's ahead of me. He just doesn't sleep. We talk almost every single night on the phone till about 1 or 2 am his time then he sleeps. Whereas I still have the rest of the evening to unwind before I sleep. Right now I'm sorta just hanging out on the computer waiting for him to get home from work!

It was 16 hours for us when Claudeth was still in the Philippines. She would go to a Internet cafe at about 10:00am so it would be 6:00pm the night before. It worked really good for us.

usually when im just getting home, he is ready for bed so its tough sometimes to try and catch each other at convenient times to talk

We are 7 hours apart - 8 on daylight savings time. On the weekends, it doesn't really matter. During the week, I call him just before he goes to bed. I'm at work, so I eat my lunch while I work and take my lunch break later in the day so that I can call him.
