Police Clearance Certificate - how long?

anyone has idea? i went to police after i've got NVC case number but police refused my application, they need embassy appointment letter with case number they said

i don't want to wait so long, i expect embassy letter in a few weeks only, so means extra few weeks will be lost..

nobody offered express service, i was there on october 21

They finally accepted my case, but i promised to bring document with my case by October 25. But they said it will be ready by december 2.

Is this the Bangkok Embassy you talk about? I see on your profile you have France listed as your country. This thread is in the Thailand forum, so this might not be relevant to your country and embassy.

We took a copy of our NOA2 with us and they were able to process the clearance with that.

I believe that is what they used. We did not have a case number yet. We only had notification that our application was being sent to the NVC at that time.

I have a copy of the Documents you fill out at the police station. They don't ask for a case number.

As far as the express service goes. They didn't offer that to Takky the express service directly. They told her it would take about 30 days to process. She asked them if she could get it faster. When she asked this question, they took her out of the room as told her they could but it would be about 1500 baht. She agreed to it and we got it in about 7 days.

I am not sure if because you are not Thais, that they might treat you differently or not, but that could be the case.

so when i come to give them my noa2, i will discretely ask for express service and will insist

so i went today, bring missing doc (i only had NOA2 and letter from senator with case number, they were satisfied with it)

then they insisted it will be ready in 1.5 months only

so i insisted i want express, then one dude gave me envelop and said put money here, he didn't tell me how much, thanks to this forum i knew it's 1500 baht, so i put it in envelop, my hands were shaking as i never bribed anyone in my life, in open space in front of everyone, LOL

so dude gave me his number and said to come back in 7 days

My fiance just got back from applying for her police clearance. They accepted our NOA2 and a color copy of my passport bio page. "Express service" is still available if you ask for it.

That is great news! You should be getting a Case Number from the NVC soon I hope too. Takky has her Interview on Tuesday morning at 8:00am. She is pretty calm about the whole thing. She says she is very excited. I, on the other hand am a nervous wreck!

Thanks! Hoping to get our NVC number soon. Best wishes for an easy interview. From what I've heard, the Thai embassy isn't terribly difficult.

Hi all,

My fiancee is in the process of gathering all the police certificates she needs for the K1 interview and we're now at Thailand. Has anyone does this from abroad recently?

I was able to get the application form and information pdf but trying to verify some information with the Police Service Center is proving to be difficult. I've tried to reach out to 3 different email addresses and the number listed on the information PDF at +66220521689 with no luck.

I just wanted to verify everything I needed before we submit. Is there any way to know that they've received it or if they need additional material? Is the 100 baht fee still applicable? (It would end up being a $35 wire transfer fee for a $3 (100 baht) charge...

If anyone can provide some information I would be very grateful, thanks!
