K1 visa under investigation

Good Morning!We just want to know about the procedure that we go through in order to be together.I had an interview last August 16 at US Embassy Manila.After presenting my proof of evidence the consul doesn’t believe me, that a 73 years old guy which is my fiance can type long love letters,looking at the cards that my fiance sent me, they have doubt looking at his penmanship,she told me it’s not written by a guy but a woman.I feel so down and so depressed.They told me to come on 17th for another interview but this time in a closed door with a consul in front of me and a Filipino guy.Interrogations happened as if i was a criminal,they wanted me to tell them if where the love letters and cards came from, if someone help me.I told them I swear to God, those letters and cards came from my fiance.I even told them if they want i will give them my email add and password for them to find out about the letters which he always send on my email add.They don’t believe me,they asked me also about my sister and parents who is in Hawaii.Then they made an affidavit, they made me sworn.My question is,Why i have to signed those 4 pages to deputy fraud prevention manager and how long does it take for them to find out about those letters that it really came from my fiance?Why they have to send me to FPU section?

I'm sorry that you have to go through this. They sent you to the FPU (Fraud Prevention Unit) because they were very skeptical of your relationship. I'm assuming this is because your fiance is 73 years-old; you probably have a large age gap, and that is a very big red flag for the CO. Have you met in person? Do you have many pictures together? It's difficult to say how long it will take them to review your case... you may have a long wait ahead of you

Your fiance should be proactive and email or call them to clarify anything they want to know.

Better yet, he should hop on a flight and request to speak to the section chief if possible.

At the very least have him request through the senator for you to be able to bring more evidence to prove a bona fide relationship.

You could be denied and then would have to start all over again.

Yes we met in person last Feb 25,2016.We had pictures together with my family.I met him way back 2009.We just celebrated our 7th year Anniversary last August 21.I brought with me during interview all of his love letters, chat logs etc.and we are talking 24/7 a day with our cam on, it just turned off every time we had blackout here. But still they cannot believe at his age he can write long letters thru email.He already called the embassy, call center agent told him to wait for email or call.

Hi Marie sorry to hear about all the trouble your having on your journey there's only 1 way to settle this tell your man to hop on a plane ✈ and go to the embassy with you that's the only way make them believe you I know it sucks by the way how much age gap is there between yous that can be a red flag too

I agree with teddy K. If they have doubts and need more proof then put it directly in front of them. Have your fiance there. It will cost but right now it looks like you are behind the 8 ball (at a disadvantage).

Thank you for your reply guys.He can't travel right now.Any suggestion please help,maybe email the embassy or send him his signatures.I'm so lost,can't think good.Just want to be with him, we waited for 7 years already and this is what happened.

Why can't he travel ? It is well worth the time and money rather than having to re file if the visa gets denied.

I also suggested he contact his senator and have the immigration liaison request a second interview with more evidence,

(notarized handwritten letter from him proving his penmanship etc..)

Agree with this. My wife and I had a relationship for 8 years, when we consulted an attorney. He recommended CR1 instead of K1 due to our circumstances and the length of relationship.

Good morning!Yes, we made mistake,we just thought K1 is the easiest way to be together without hassle but we are wrong.You think if he is here and we get married we can file for CR-1 right away?How about our K1 visa application?My passport still in Embassy.Any one knows the hotline of FPU section please?Maybe we can call them first and ask about our case.Please help.

Hi Teddy, he can't right now,he just get back to work from the hospital.That is our problem now, how can he prove that those cards are from him without going here.
