I've been over it a millione times, but for my own peace of mind, is there anything I'm missing for my K1 Interview in Montreal:

-appointment letter

-passport

-birth certificate

-police background check

-evidence of domicile in the US ( is a copy of bill or mortgage sent to my fiance with the address suffient? or multiple things with the same address?)

-I-134 affidavit of support

-I-864 evidence of support

-medical exam

-2 passport pictures in colour

-letter of intent to marry signed by fiance

this was on one checklist, but not on the final list I got from the US consulat when i booked my interview: evidence of relationship

1) do I need this and 2) what constitues this?

Also, how long should I expect the medical and interview to take? Both are scheduled for mornings, but I'm flying home both times on the same day so I want to leave enough time before my flight. Medicla is 10am, interview is 9:45am

Thanks!

Hey!

So I just had my medical (Aug 17th) and interview (Aug 24th).

For the medical I needed:

- 5 passport photos

- passport

- packet 4 email from Montreal consulate

- confirmation of interview appointment

- vaccination records (not necessary but helpful)

My medical was at 10am and I was done by noon and able to pick up my results on Monday Aug 22nd.

For the interview they asked for:

- DS-160 confirmation with the barcode (at the entrance to the consulate)

- Passport + photocopy of biographic page of passport

- Interview appointment receipt/Proof of payment (same email from Yatri that I used for the medical)

- 2 passport photos

- Sealed medical results

- Birth certificate + photocopy

- Police background check (I had the one that you can just get online and it was fine)

- I-134 + tax transcript from 2015

- Letter of intent to marry

I had a lot more documents to support the I-134 but they only wanted the 2015 transcript. I also had proof of ongoing relationship (5 pictures + some chatlogs) but they didn't ask for it. And I had her new lease as proof of residence but they also didn't ask for that. The I-864 is only filed once you're doing AOS, so that was not required at this interview.

My interview was schedule for 7:45 but I lined up at 7am and I was second in line. I was out of there by 8:30am. I don't know how that'll be if your appointment is for 9:45 though because the line just gets longer and longer outside.

I've been over it a million times, but for my own peace of mind, is there anything I'm missing for my K1 Interview in Montreal:

-appointment letter

-passport

-birth certificate - make sure it's long form with both parents names on it

-police background check

-evidence of domicile in the US ( is a copy of bill or mortgage sent to my fiance with the address sufficient? or multiple things with the same address?) - That's fine

-I-134 affidavit of support - also need tax transcript or return and proof of current income

-I-864 evidence of support

-medical exam

-2 passport pictures in colour - make sure these are US sized 5cmx5cm (2"x2")

-letter of intent to marry signed by fiance - and you within last 30 days

this was on one checklist, but not on the final list I got from the US consulate when i booked my interview: evidence of relationship

You will not be approved if you take your medical the day of the interview. Please tell me your medical is at least 4 days before the interview??? The medical takes about 2 hours and the bus ride from the airport to downtown is about 45 minutes (cab ride is the same time and is WAY more expensive.) You need I think 5 passport sized photos for that as well. Interviews vary. You may or may not be allowed in first thing in the morning. It used to be first come first serve but now they sometimes make people wait until close to their scheduled time. If it's first come first serve you can be out of there by 9-10am. If not then you may be in there until 1-2pm.

evidence of your relationship - Yes bring some. Something that shows you communicate regularly and have spent time together.
