Trump lost his shirt the first time he filed. He did learn from that. All the other bankruptcies filed by Trump corporation did not touch his personal wealth. However somebody was still left holding the bag. Talk to investors, shareholders and employees of corporations that file for bankruptcy to see who wins and who loses. Trump came out of bankruptcy OK, doesn't mean every one else did.

No one will argue that what Trump did was good for Trump, but anyone who argues for that business acumen being successful at the federal level really needs to think twice. Easy guess who will be left holding the bag.

This is the key point of Trump.

You proclaim (in the context of how you plan to pay for things you want as president) "I like debt" "I am the king if debt" and yet your business history shows that didn't work out so well. As you pointed out others (some banks but others small businesses) paid the price if his choices.

What does say about his business acumen, his judgement and character about money, the risks that he is willing to take with our debt, our spending and our financial future? Is the US government in the casino business?

If he said, I have failed in these areas and this is what I would not do in hindsight, fine....but we hear him crowing about the success if his failures.
