Hi!

I am a Swedish citizen and my fiancé is American, we will send in our I-129f in end of September.

I live in UK and my question is on section 15a to 15h? Do I not fill that in at all? It asks about passport details but on 15a it says to only fill in if you are in the states.

In the instructions for the I-129f it tells you to fill in 15e-15h with the details of last passport that I used to travel to USA with but still I wonder if that was only regarding if you are in the states right now?

Reason why I worry is because I'm going to Sweden this weekend and I was thinking of renew my passport as they are only valid for 5 years and mine will expire in February 2018 and you never know how long the k1 visa process might take.

I don't want to fill in the details of this passport and then apply for a new one as it will become unvalid....

you should be able do finish the k1 process and emigrate within 7 months of filing so plenty of time. I personally would hold off renewing it for now since once you get married you will be able to update the name for your next one.

As the form and instructions state, that section is only filled out if the foreign fiance(e) is currently in the US when filling out the I-129F.

If you are not currently in the US, then you don't fill it out.
