Anfisa is not ugly by any means, that's not fair. She is pretty and has a nice (enhanced) body. She's just not as hot as SHE and JORGE think that she is. And she knows that she has her felon bobo wrapped around her little finger so she gets what she wants or she threatens to go back to Russia.

I agree that she isn't ugly on the outside, but maybe perhaps the inside? If she hadn't had work done, she'd just be an average looking woman with a nice body and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

It seems that in the some parts of the US, fat chicks can hook up with desperate guys quite easily.

Nah, desperate guys are everywhere.

(Joining convo late, I didn't know this thread existed)...

In poor Pedro's defense about missing his flight-- the arrivals board showed that he was going through Ft. Lauderdale (looks like on Jet Blue, too which would make sense from DR) so he POE'd there and missed the connection to ATL. I'm guessing Pedro has next to no travel experience (could be wrong but, I doubt he's left the islands, if he's even left DR) and therefore Dum-Dum Chantel (or maaaaybe TLC) probably booked the ticket and probably booked whatever cheap flight she used to fly back and forth all the time (if Chantel) or the cheapest period (if TLC) and didn't factor in time at POE. When he called her, he was stuck in Florida, having missed his flight, through very likely no fault of his own (this happened to Mohammed at JFK too, if I recall).

This is especially insane because a direct flight (of which there are many options to ATL) is maybe $100 more but with bag fees (he does have bags to immigrate with right), and depending on what airline he'd have flown with a direct flight, a direct flight could have been less expensive overall. Plus the whole part where most folks would happily pay a little extra for a direct flight, generally, in life even for frequent travelers. But especially when buying for a loved one who has picked up their life and moved to a foreign country they've never seen all for you and who not have much if any flying and airport experience (again with a guess about Pedro's travel history) and who has to deal with a much more complex border experience than "here's my US passport, back from vacay" with a ticking clock to make your connection. Bad choice. Bad choice made worse by the fact that the ticket was booked so that he was trying to catch the day's last flight from FLL to ATL. So not even an opportunity for a little wiggle room if POE makes him miss the flight. And apparently no money for a hotel. Poor guy spent his first night in the US trying to sleep on an airport floor. I'm hoping it was TLC's doing and not Chantel's. But unless they were somehow contractually obligated to let TLC choose the ticket, I'd have said thanks but no thanks and booked a direct flight myself.

From what they were showing on the board at the airport for arrivals, it looks like Chantel booked Pedro on Spirit Airlines. Which on the surface the flight itself is cheaper, but there are all the added baggage fees ect. My friend said that was the worst airline they ever flew on.

Ah yes Spirit. I get them and Jet Blue confused sometimes. Either way, same thing stands-- it was cheap and stupid to book through FLL, especially on a budget airline that they probably had to pay an arm and a leg for his luggage.

I flew Spirit once to Costa Rica. Just one way (flew another airline back. This was back in the days that I had to thread a needle on scheduling and Spirit's late night flight down was perfect, but the return wasn't a good time for me). I thought it was fine. But I knew going in about the bags thing, and the bad seats (I paid extra for the "big front seat" on the FLL to SJO leg for that reason). If you've mindset that air travel is not the luxury it was mid-century, and is going more and more in the direction of "public transit", you'd be fine with it too. But not everyone thinks that way and that's fine. They still have options.

I personally think it's a good thing that these types of airlines exist, and that people who want to pay for the perks of yesteryear can and do still have options. Me? I don't mind feeling like I'm on a Greyhound for 4 hours because it gets me to where I'm going for a price I am happy with and that's all I care about for domestic and closeby international (the time zone change, or lack thereof, is another big factor. Going to Asia or Europe you *need* to be able to sleep and the flights are much longer than just down to Central America or the Caribbean).

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

I'm sure Pedro hasn't ever been off his island, so he wouldn't know what to expect or do. That was up to Chantel to help him.

Ive looked into flying Spirit to DR, but once i added up baggage costs, also the flight times wouldnt work for me, the price was actually only a few dollars less then AA. Who i haven't been the most pleased with flying to the DR. JetBlue was a good experience though.

Certain airlines may have more delayed flights than others. I've flown all of them but southwestern. Jet blue is awesome! We didn't pay for carry ons like you have to with Spirit.

FLL as a POE takes time. The lines are long and the POE interview room my then Fiance had to go to took about 30 minutes. Getting your luggage and going back through security and check baggage took a bit of time. We had to go outside and back in another part of the building to get to our connecting gate. Like I said I've traveled a lot on many different airports. FLL took 2 hours to finish. It has nothing to do with the airline. We got confused and lost a few times. I cannot imagine him doing all that alone.

Yeah, I don't want to assume because it's not nice but yeah... I'm very strongly under he impression that Pedro has never left DR and Chantel should have booked him a direct flight, even if it cost more. That's the whole point of my post.

And as for Spirit, I don't know. I liked them. I had just a little bag, small enough it didn't count as a carry on, just the small personal item (which is free). By that point, I had toiletries, makeup, my rain coat, sandlas, bathing suit at his place in Costa Rica. I just needed to pack a few sundresses and enough fresh undies for a long weekend. Worked for me. I hit up some ridiculous sale, and wound up paying basically only the taxes and fees (my effective tax rate was 96%... my overall cost was maybe $120 or so), and the real reason I wanted the flight was that it left late enough in the day that I didn't need a vacation day from work (which were in short supply by then).

I agree Kristen. Both my husband and I feel Azan has some sincerity but it's going to fade real fast with her complete lack of understanding his culture despite his repeated attempt to explain and make her understand. He's definitely trying. She is extremely naive and controlled by her issues of affection deprivation. If Azan has/had any genuine intentions she's going to dash them away soon if she doesn't make an attempt to start viewing things differently and realize she's not in America. It's gonna be a long 5 weeks for Azan poor guy.

Eric-Pris do not tell me Anfisa is pretty with her "botox duck face". Her botox attempt gone wrong.

I agree, those lips are those of a puffer fish, totally unnatural. Had she not had the lip job done she would be a regular

pretty face with a nice body. The botched Botox ruined her looks.

Her body is attached to a GC?

Can he stomach everything else?

Not everyone is obcessed with slim model type bodies. I know many couples young and old with different body types who are madly in love. So, I tend not to assume he's just in it for greencard. I actually feel he may have some feelings for her. I could be totally wrong...one never knows what's in anothers heart. I know if I had to choose, I would choose Nicole over Anfisa's fake, gold digging, plastic barbie doll persona any day of the week. She's shallow, boring, and selfish. Why do Russian and Eastern Europeans always want to come here and be models? All the magazines I guess.
