He's drives an Uber.  That's how he met "Diamond".  She's a Hooters hostess.  Sounds like a stripper's name.

 

Also, they showed his date with this chick.  It was their first date, playing Frisbee.  How did it go from that to him inviting her to go to Tunisia to meet his family and friends ON THE FIRST DATE?  And her saying "Yes, I love to travel and explore."

Last night's update...

 

Anfisa got her green card in last week's episode.  Now they are back in the lawyer's office to work on the Post-nup.  Jorge set up a dinner with his sister so they could "catch up" since he hasn't seen his family in a long time since Tornado Anfisa blew into town.  Really, it was going to be him asking for advice on how to tame the beast.  Somehow, Anfisa found out about his dinner plans and yelled at him for trying to hide it from her.  Then she hit him AGAIN.  This woman is an abuser, she attacks him when she doesn't get her way.  He embarrassingly admitted to the cameras that he's scared of her because she beats him and "it hurts".

 

Anfisa: Why did you not tell me?  Why did you lie to me?

Jorge: I knew you would not like it and be angry

Anfisa: SMACK! POW! BAM!

 

So she makes him take her along to the dinner.  Of course with her there, no way will Jorge say anything about Anfisa.  So his sister starts in on Anfisa about why she is asking for all these things.  Anfisa keeps repeating that Jorge made promises and he has not kept them.  They go back and forth a few times.  Meanwhile, Jorge is just sitting there afraid to say a word against Anfisa or she'll hit him and his sister you can tell is very worried about him.  He looks like an animal waiting his turn for the slaughter.  At one point, Anfisa says it's none of your business and Jorge is ok with it.  If he's not, he can divorce me if he wants.  Very non-shullantly, like it's no biggie, now that she has the green card.  Finally Jorge's sister looks at him and says "So when you have money, she opens her legs?"

 

Anfisa gets up and says to Jorge "WE ARE LEAVING".  And Jorge just gets up and leaves with her, no goodbye, nothing.  His sister is left there crying.  Anfisa was pissed that he didn't defend her against his sister.  I bet he got beaten when they got home.

 

This woman is a spoiled brat who has violent outbursts against him when she doesn't get her way because she knows that she can get away with it.  He's so "in love" with her that she can do, say, request, order him, whatever, and it will be done.  And next week's preview shows that they are "separated".  Anfisa needed space so she threw him out and "shattered his heart into a million pieces".  Jorge looks like he lost weight, probably from stress.  This won't end well.

 

Our favorite couple had no direct contact with each other this week.  Danielle went to some lawyer for advice on her annulment case.  She was told that "fraud" is VERY hard to prove.  Then red cheeks Beth asked what other types of annulments there are and the lawyer said if the marriage wasn't consummated.  But Danielle did admit that they consummated the marriage 3 MONTHS after they were married.  But that was the only time.  Then she said to the camera that he probably knew this and only did it that one time just to eliminate the possibility of that type of annulment.  I think that's probably accurate.

 

The biggest portion of this week's how was dedicated to Paola and Russ.  The Colombian "model" who has yet to earn a single dollar as a model but has spent thousands it seems on hotels, hair, clothes, makeup, agency fees, partying, etc. is truly unbelievable.  She was advised by her agent to get a part time job (bartender, waitress, etc) to pay bills in between modeling jobs (or before the 1st one ever comes).  But no, she convinced Russ to come to Miami and then had the balls to ask him what he's going to do about money.  She suggested that while he's looking for a full time job, he can bartend or something.  What a set of balls on this princess.  And he's another one who puts up with it all.  He went to a recruiter in Miami about jobs and the guy straight out tells him that he won't work in his industry in Miami since there's no oil/gas companies there.  But Russ says he pretty much will work at whatever to make his wife happy.

 

There was another issue with her gay amigo Juan.  This guy is such a dousche.  He is deliberately trying to break them up and she just smiles and laughs it off.  I'm surprised Russ hasn't knocked his teeth out yet after some of the stuff he has said TO HIS FACE.  They rented a furnished apartment to live in while in Miami because the hotel was draining what little money they had.  She invited her amigo to say goodbye as he was going back to Colombia.  They "talk" things out, but the guy keeps making comments about Russ not working.  Then she says that she wants them to be friends so they shake hands and Russ goes in for a hug (WHY IF YOU CAN'T STAND HIM?).  While hugging, her amigo is rolling his eyes at her.  Basically goofing on Russ right in front of her and she just laughs.  What a wifey.

When they did the flash back to Jorge's meeting with his sisters before Anfisa arrived (which is only what, a year ago?)  it really showed how much he has aged with all the stress. I can't stand her, and I agree she is an abused but I will say, he is an idiot,  She never lied to him, she was very, very clear what she was there for.

 

I feel sorry for Russ, his wife doesn't know where her loyalties need to be. She (similarly to Chantel) was too young to get married I think, not ready to settle down. But I think Chantel and Pedro will make it... Russ will end up on a show like the Bachelor, I can;t see their relationship lasting. 

 

Loren and Alex: How can you NOT know whether a condition you have is hereditary???  Sounds a bit like they made that up for the cameras, I cannot imagine not knowing about that.

Jorge does look very miserable, but he has brought this on himself. I don't see him ending things with Anfisa though, he's a glutton for punishment.

 

Russ is bending over backwards for Pao, and she is ungrateful in my opinion. All she wants to do is hang with her amiga's and party or spend time with Juan, who is disrespectful to Russ and Pao allows it. She is worried about him getting a job, well that's what she was suppose to be doing once she moved to Miami.

 

Chantel's family is very uppity, as is she. They need to accept Pedro, and Chantel needs to come clean about all the lies. I can't wait to see what all happens in the DR for the wedding.

 

I really like Alexie, Loren not so much. Everything makes her cry, her bachelor party, her best friend not being liked by Alexie, ect. She is alot of work.

Seriously, it's interesting to watch how Jorge turns more and more into a battered wife by each episode. It's kind of funny to see how she has him trained and how she sometimes make "fake attacks" pretending she'll hit him but stops and he reacts like a beaten dog all scared and curled up. Makes you wonder if Anfisa's nice body is really worth THAT much to him that he actually puts up with this #######. I say "body" because there's no way he can possibly love that face or personality.

This is how I feel. I don't even feel bad for Jorge, Anfisa never hid her crazy. Never. She keyed his car!!! Before they got married. I mean c'mon now.

 

Watching the current episode- I have to say that Pedro is not lying about taking care of family. My esposo is Latino and it is expected for kids to pay for things. And yes- stuff, everything, is more expensive outside the USA. And those countries have very low salaries. I wouldn't be okay with all the spending happening, but I have to say he's not taking advantage. It's an expectation.

I missed the last 45 minutes or so (had to watch GoT!) but Chantel's family is possibly the most intolerant, rude, close minded family I have ever seen. Yes, Pedro's mom was wrong in calling them stupid, but she invited them over and made a nice dinner and they turned up their noses. I couldn't believe it. Their behavior was positively disgusting. 

 

I also think the language barrier is really affecting them. Pedro's English is not good, Chantel's Spanish is terrible and they're the only ones able to translate between the families!

Chantel's family is very uppityy, and rude. They have this picture of Pedro that he is using Chantel  for all her money, and using for her for a greencard. Now had Chantel been honest with her family from the beginning that Pedro was here on a K1 visa and not a student visa, most of the mess could be avoided. Dominicans are proud people, Chantel and her family were very insulting to Pedro and his family.

I know this is nothing that everyone doesn't already know but of course the show is all about ratings. 

Of course the producers want to see failure. No one wants to watch a fairy tale. It just doesn't sell.

 

There is obviously a big culture and communication gap with Chantel and Pedros family.

One of the best qualities of Pedro is that he cares about his family.

 

Chantel's family should realize this. 

Don't they want their daughter to be with someone who puts family first?

Not just some scrub dude his cares about nothing but himself like so many young american dudes that would normally be in her dating pool.

 

Chantel is young but she is a good person. Any guy would be lucky to have her.

It's sad that it is the families who are the big issue.

 

Pedro's family cooked a meal for them YES but it was a dish that they themselves don't even eat. chicken feet.

 

Things are much less expensive in Dominican Rep so of course a nice apartment there would be much less than the same apartment in Miami

Her family should not be comparing the to.

 

Her brother is super annoying and his sister thinks her $%&*! doesn't stink maybe the sister of Pedro and brother of Chantel should get together. HA

 

I hope the married couple work things out.
