Some of them are members of this forum. I don't recall seeing them start the AOS process (Anfisa and Lolo).

I have been looking at Nicole's tweets and they don't convince me that Azan is with her in Florida. Of course, he could be in AP waiting for his K-1. But she makes no mention of him. Seeing her cling to him like a limpet, she would be the type to fill her twitter feed with "I miss you baby" all day.

Anfisa is a waste of space. Wants a house (had to settle for an apartment which she claims is smaller than the one she had in Russia - yeah, right) and says the woman should cook and look after the house. It's clear the only thing she makes for dinner is reservations.

Dinner reservations ?

I'm a little jealous of Nicole's desert camping trip. It looks like it would be a lovely experience. *adding to my bucket list*

Chantal waited way too long to tell her parents. I worry that Pedro is gonna have to go back to DR. If I were Pedro I would have spilled the beans by now.

I couldn't stop laughing as he was 'playing dumb' when he was working out with her Dad. It's not fair that she put him in that position. .

Is there a separate thread for the Happily Ever after spin off?

I never saw the season with Mohammed and Danielle but it seems like craziness.

I thought the same thing...so want to go to Morocco!

I wish Pedro would've just told her dad the truth. It's just ridiculous. Chantel whining about a wedding..no dress, no rings, no guests. What the heck did she think was going to happen. No one knows she's engaged. Did she think her Fairy Godmother was going to sprinkle fairy dust and poof an elaborate wedding appears?!

Haven't seen a separate thread. You can go to TLC.com and view old seasons episodes I think.

Damn... the big black woman with the 419 Nigerian scammer is more desperate than Danielle was. She believes all his lies. And he has a typical liar face and that used car salesman smile. He told her that he didn't contact her for a long time after the interview because he couldn't bring his phone into the embassy, so he gave it to "some guy" and he stole it. First, don't all embassies have locked storage in security and lock up all personal stuff? I have only been to one embassy and they locked up all electronics in a little pouch. And he claimed the guy stole his rings. He wouldn't have to leave his rings. And second, he gave his stuf to a stranger to watch? Reallllllllyyyyyy.... She is either really gullible or really desperate.

I'm starting to see what you guys are saying about Anfisa's look. When she relaxes her face, she is cute but most of the time, she looks like a duck. And rolling her eyes every 5 minutes would get old for me. Jorge is a sucker. All she has to do is throw a tempur tantrum and threatens to go back to Russia and he caves. $5,000 dress. He actually refused and she asked him why he brought her over. That he's not ready. There's no way they will get married, he'll be broke by the wedding day.

Nicole is a big baby. I felt bad for that camel.

I'm starting to like Alla. Although we haven't seen what led to the chair throwing incident that was promised in the preview so I might change my mind then. But so far she is the only vaguely likeable one in this series. She isn't after Matt's money, settled for a wedding ring from a pawn shop, we've seen her cooking and living a normal life. She hasn't arrived with ideas of America having streets paved with gold and that she will live like a princess there. She seems to be adapting well.

Anfisa is just a spoilt child. She doesn't love Jorge. She loves his address and nationality because he was her ticket to modelling in Los Angeles. That's all she wanted. She wouldn't have looked at him twice if he lived in Matt's hometown. And these ridiculous empty threats of "maybe I'll go back to Russia". Jorge should call her bluff and book her a ticket next time she says that. Would certainly be cheaper than what's in store for him if he marries her and she stays.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

I disagree about Anfisa. Not the spoiled child thing because clearly that's true. The loving the address and nationality part. I don't think she gives two flips about what country she winds up in. She just wants to be super wealthy and not have to do anything except look pretty and have the nicest of everything. I get the impression she'd marry a Russian oil baron or a Emirati prince or just about anyone who can provide her the high flying lifestyle she wants. Maybe I'm wrong, but she just seems 100% about money and lifestyle with a green card a distant thought.

I hope for Jorge's sake he realizes this (even though he doesn't seem to deserve this thoughtfulness "I don't like American women because they're all feminists" what sort of MRA/ redpill nonsense IS this) and gets rid of her, but I actually suspect that once she sees that the money isn't as free flowing as she'd been led to believe, she'll take off.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

The embassy in Kingston JA does not have lockers or anywhere to keep valuables. You must leave it with someone outside the embassy. Many leave it with friends, family, or in their car. If that is not an option, there are area businesses that will keep your phone for a fee. They do not make you remove jewelry unless it sets off the metal detector, but you are allowed to put it right back on and wear it into embassy. That part was a lie. He is a liar. He hasn't changed. She'll find out soon enough.

I can't believe she fell for that. He kept smiling while he was telling her that stupid story. If someone had honestly stolen all of my stuff, I wouldn't be smiling while telling my husband what happened. And even if that did happen, he could have gone to an internet cafe or used a friend's phone or something in order to contact her. It really shows he didn't care about her if he really went that long without responding to her and telling her what happened with his interview.

I think they're still in AP anyway. I don't think he's going to get the visa during the taping of the show. I hope he gets denied in the long run. She has got to be desperate if she wants to marry someone she can't even trust.

On the contrary, Anfisa has stated multiple times that she wants to be famous and to be a model. What better place to do it than LA?

She's definitely going to take off. You could see their foundation beginning to crumble at that bridal boutique. How dumb was Jorge to first tell her he doesn't want to spend a bunch of money on a dress, and then to book an appointment at a top-of-the-line bridal boutique? What an idiot. Did he honestly think they were going to find dresses in his preferred price range in a place like that? And he really showed his true colors when he said, "Seeing Anfisa in that wedding dress really reminds me of why I fell in love with her in the first place. She looks stunning" or whatever. Yeah...he loves her face and her body. He doesn't know what love is, the poor dolt.

Jorge should just keep his mind open and keep dating American women. He'd find one who wants to be a housewife eventually...except he's too immature to settle down right now because he's just going after arm candy. Arm candy rarely becomes a housewife at that young age.

I thought the same thing...so want to go to Morocco!

I wish Pedro would've just told her dad the truth. It's just ridiculous. Chantel whining about a wedding..no dress, no rings, no guests. What the heck did she think was going to happen. Haven't seen a separate thread. You can go to TLC.com and view old seasons episodes I think.

I think Chantel deserves what's happening to her. This is what happens when you live a lie. She's too immature to get married. She should have been honest with her parents about the nature of her relationship with Pedro from the beginning of the relationship, and she should have told them he proposed to her WHEN he did. Instead, she's waiting all this time because she wants her family to like him and approve of their relationship before she tells them anything. She should have put on her big girl underpants and been honest about the whole thing all along as the relationship evolved. Now it's all going to blow up in her face and cause so much more damage than it would have if she had been honest. She needs her family's approval (and money)...well she can't have their approval AND marry Pedro. It's going to have to be one or the other.

Too bad Pedro didn't think fast enough...he had a golden opportunity to tell her dad his "long-term" intention with Chantel is to marry her...that wouldn't have necessarily blown their secret and it would have made him look slightly better than giving off the "I'm just playing the field" vibe...even though her dad would automatically think "GREEN CARD" if he heard that (he's going to think that anyway...or already does think that).
