90 Day Fiance- Season 4

I love this car crash of a show but it's starting to get too ridiculous even for me.

I have always had issues with TLC portraying the K-1 visa as a "try before you buy" arrangement. They don't have 90 days to decide if they want to get married or not. They have 90 days to organise a legal wedding. The deciding should be done before the I-129F is filed.

Jorge apparently has a criminal record that Anfisa doesn't know about. Why doesn't she? Was that not addressed in her interview at least? My husband has a criminal record and has done prison time. He told me all about it very early in our relationship. I have read all the documents and I'm fully aware of it. I even sent a copy of the paperwork with our I-130 and signed the top right of each copied page so that USCIS could see that I was fully aware. We also addressed this issue in our covering letter. They would have run a background check on Jorge. Why hasn't he told the woman he intends to marry?

Nicole and Azan. I see couples like that on visa forums all the time. By that I mean couples who claim to have been talking "constantly" for months but know nothing about each other. Take the food, for example. He seemed shocked that she doesn't eat vegetables and has a very poor diet. During their months of talking did they ever discuss favourite foods, what they just ate for dinner, and so on? It was one of the first things my husband and I talked about in getting to know each other. The same with fitness. He's obviously very much into fitness so did they ever talk about exercise? It seems to be his biggest hobby. How could he be surprised by her lifestyle when they finally meet if they have been talking "constantly" for months?

I found it very odd when Alla arrived and Matt had no food in the house (but he's a man who until that point was living on his own and probably ordered in for the most part or ate at diners and probably didn't ever shop for groceries) but she referred to the house as "Matt's house" and he referred to it as "my house". It's their house now. She lives there. She's almost his wife. I haven't moved to my husband yet but our apartment has been "our apartment" since we became serious and decided to spend the rest of our lives together.

And every season we have the work issue. Fiances arriving from various places with ideas of the work they want to do. There is a wannabe model in every series. This time Anfisa, last time Paola, before that Cassia and before that Kirlyam. But they choose the very visa type that doesn't allow them to work for several months! I've never been a fan of a K-1 and I wonder why anyone with a career would even consider it especially now that we are seeing CR-1s being completed in less than 10 months. But why all the whining when they chose this route?

Exactly my thoughts, why did all these differences not come up early on. What do they talk about I wonder.

Nicole cheating on Azan in only 6 months after they met and she is supposedly so in love with him ?!

That must make me Mother Teresa waiting faithfully for 5 years.

Who the heck wears jeans shorts to meet in laws in Morocco.

French fries in Morocco.....ouch.

Chantel is a little hussy rubbing up on other dudes while her man wonders who is this chick ?

What ? They did not discuss that she likes to drink and party ?

Her lies....she is not ready for marriage and wants to keep bumping and grinding the night away with other men

while he scratches his head.

Same with Ulla, did they not talk about that she enjoys going to clubs to dance ?

No food for the little guy after such a long flight.....come on Matt. Unreal.

Jorge .... geez.

Most seasons they have all gotten married , this one I wonder if half of them will get that far.

I'm thinking that about Nicole. We've had 4 episodes already and she's not even filed the I-129F yet. Not many episodes left to fit in the entire process, arrival, marriage, etc. I have been reading her tweets on Twitter but she gives very little away. Just says "wait till the final episode".

Chantel irritates me. I don't understand why the need to lie to her parents. She's 25 or so and lives in a free country. She doesn't need her parents' consent or approval for anything. When I was 25 I'd finished university, moved overseas, got a job, was living alone in an apartment in a foreign country, paying bills, etc. At 25 my mother was married with 4 children. I could understand it if she was 17 and wanting to get married. But she's a grown woman.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

I agree. If she feels the need to lie to her parents at 25 then maybe she's not quite ready for marriage

Pretty obvious that most of them if they did marry would not last.

Chantel just acts like any 16 year old.

Chantel acts like a spoiled brat, I'm sure mommy and daddy are paying for her apartment. No mention of her working. That she couldn't understand why Pedro was upset with her from the club? She said when i was in the DR we went out to clubs all the time, Pedro knows i like to party. Uhh you were on vacation then, time to put your big girl pants on and act like an adult. Stop lying.

5 days in Morroco and Azan and Nicole are fighting, no surprise seeing as she didnt know where Morroco was. She needs to go home and forgot about Azan. They are to different and even tho she "claims" she respects and understand his culture, she doesn't. Otherwise she wouldnt be crying all the time that he wont hug her or hold her hand. I think she was thinking she would go over and have all the fun she wants, ie sex, surprise lol

Cant even think where to begin with Jorge.........

I also wonder who's sponsoring Pedro. With Chantelle being in school and living with her parents I assume she needed a co sponsor for the affidavit. If her parents are sponsoring him she shouldn't lie if they are footing the bill.

She was already engaged to Azan, she said, before she ever heard of “90 Day Fiance.” A friend of hers was doing some online research about the visa Azan would need, and she learned about the show. She told Nicole, who sent an email to the show.

She said she paid for her own trip to Morocco. She declined to say whether she had been compensated for her appearance on the show.

Nicole said she paid for her own trip.

I don't think Chantel's parents sponsor him.

If yes, they would have to fill up the I-134 form and know about the engagement.

But Chantel chose not to tell her parents about it and made up a story that he was coming to the states on a temporary student visa.

Not the greatest demonstration of the educational system in Bradenton. This girl is almost as mature as an 8-yr old. Very sad.

Good point, i didnt think about that. Maybe one of Chantel's friends is, but from the meeting they had with her friends, the one doesnt like this situation.

Perhaps we could have a VJ special season?

I think Chantel's parents must be very involved with her decision making possibly due to financial support. Especially, because she lied about her and Pedro's relationship. If they are helping her financially, then they would not be happy about her sponsoring him...thus the reason for the lie. if they cosponsored then they would know about the K1.

The poverty guideline for just 2 people is barely $20,000. She was probably able to meet that on her own. But maturity wise she is nowhere near ready for marriage. She acts like a teenager ready to party not a woman ready to settle down in marriage with all that entails.
