I too have been looking at property in the Tampa area as a possible retirement location. Love the area but the potential for flooding is a big concern.

All right. We were looking at retiring in Tampa too. If it's still there, that is. I'll look you up. We can complain about how hot it is and how high the sea is getting.

And we can have a good chuckle at Boiler stuck in a snow drift. :content:

Sounds like a plan. We'll have to hunt down MBD when we're there as well.

I use to be in the mining industry. We use to find sharks teeth etc , because the ocean use to cover part of GA. Just saying

Most of you can figure this out

Stuff changes

I'm going to guess plate tectonics. I hope I'm right.

Eventually, all of the earths oceans will boil off into space. So ultimately, we know sea levels will drop and all life on earth will die. However I'm not going to consider this a factor for buying property in Florida, and I'm not going to let the kids use it as an excuse to skip brushing their teeth tonight. Context is usually important.

And you probably think that happened in the 6,000 years of Earth's existence.

Climate change: How do we know?
203_co2-graph-021116.jpeg

This graph, based on the comparison of atmospheric samples contained in ice cores and more recent direct measurements, provides evidence that atmospheric CO2 has increased since the Industrial Revolution. (Credit: Vostok ice core data/J.R. Petit et al.; NOAA Mauna Loa CO2 record.)

The Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.

Why would you think such an absurd thing. I think I learn when I was a biology major the earth is 4.something billion years old

Because the topic is short-term climate change which involves changes occurring over tens to hundreds of years. Your example of finding a fossil shark tooth in Georgia and saying that things change is an example of changes that took millions of years to occur.

The medevi warm up was short term what caused it.
