Pet food poisoning

Who thinks the recent pet food recall is a vague attempt on fear in America. I don't know if the pet food recall exist outside the USA, but over a hundred different brands of pet foods are tainted with the ingredients of rat poison.

Goin beyond just clearing the shelves of cat food, animal shelters are feeling the crunch since most of their animal feed are donated.

So is this an attack on beloved pets?

Though it's illegal here in the US, I believe it's business as usual to put rat poison in wheat in China. The high cost of low price?

well, its not just the US, it is Canada as well. The "tainted wheat" was being processed at a plant in Ontario Canada, and had been shipped there from China.

No, Consolemaster, but remember this is a ' throw away' society. People have somehow got it in their brains that animals are just disposable objects that if you don't want them anymore for whatever lame reason, kill it !...maybe humans, too. Remember Terry Shivo?

I think LuckyStrike's right on this; the latest reports I've seen in the news indicate that the gluten in the pet food contained rat poison, and the wheat's from China. More likely poor quality control and regulation than anything else. I see no plausible reason that a terrorist organization well-funded enough to poison wheat would choose to poison cat food over doing something actually involving terror.

But maybe we should call it "incompetence terrorism." Then, having diluted the word "terrorism" completely, we cann go onto label anything we don't like terrorism. I'm going to say that I'm a victim of weather terrorism.

What???? You didn't start the day there??? ummmm, errrrrrrrrr, well, it is Sunday which means some of us should be going to church . . . so we should be on good footing for the day!

As for the poor pets . . . . I am so glad that I wsn't using that food as I have already been thru kidney failure of a beloved pet a few years ago. At least I had her for 16 years. But now it makes me wonder about any of the food that we feed our pets. Then again . . . we should be worried about what we feed ourselves . . . many of our health problems are due to additives in our food.

I sum up terrorism as a way an individual (or group of people) deliberately inflicting anxiety towards a larger group. For example: Someone poisons wheat.. the ingredients are then in your Wheaties, and bread.. some people get sick.. cereals, and all breads are recalled.. lawsuits filed.. Kelloggs, McD, Holsum etc are named and their stocks fall.. bakery outlets loses profit.. they close up.. people out of jobs.. which adds to higher homelessness and crime. Its the ripple effects ..Shoo! we're all paying higher gas and air fares, and stricter immigration laws due to 9-11.
