Hello everyone, I would like to ask for help. Is it still mandatory to obtain a Police Certificate from UAE for my K-1 visa? I've read in old topics that UAE is a waiver country. I no longer live in there and exited the country lawfully. Please advice.thanks

The guidelines say that a waiver is "recommended", but they may insist if you lived there a long time (eg most of your life). How long were you there?

"The police certificate from your country of nationality is a must for your K visa application. You may show up for your interview without the police certificate, but you need to submit it to the Consulate afterwards."

This is what the consulate replied me back about the same question.

I lived there for 8 years. I tried checking their websites as well in how to obtain PCC but one of the requirement that needs to be forwarded is the Emirates ID which I no longet have in possession. Such ID was surrendered back along with my passport when they cancelled my residence visa.

You don't need Emirates ID if no longer resident. I didn't require that, as mine had been surrendered when I cancelled my residence visa. Mine was done via Dubai.
