I am wondering, how can you find out the date when the NVC forward your case to US Embassy Manila without calling them? And how would you know when the consulate receive it?

checkout that ceac.gov web site once its shows in Transit means its on the way and once its shows ready means embassy got it

I already received my interview letter (P4) via email on august 13, 2016. I think the status "in transit" is only for k1 visa. My visa category is IR-1.

Yes, you can have an advance medical but take note if you're under sputum, your medical is only valid for 3 months. I took my medical Aug 3, 2016. I got CC Aug 5, 2016. Anyway, you need to bring the ff. for your advance medical:

  • SLEC online registration form (http://www.slec.ph/us/registration)
  • I printed out the copy of my DS260 confirmation. (2 copies)
  • Passport
  • Photocopy of passport biopage (2 copies)
  • 4 2x2 ID picture with my full name written at the back
  • Photocopy of NVC welcome letter (2 copies)
  • Php 11, 300.00 (for spousal visa)
  • Black ballpen
  • mask (if you want to wear it while inside the institution)
IF APPLICABLE:
  • Medical Certificate
  • Medical Abstract
  • Previous X-ray films

I took an advance medical bec I already expected I will be under sputum due to my tb history 6 years ago and I was right. I was scheduled for sputum Aug 10, 11 & 12 and my pulmo evaluation was on Aug 15, 2016. It came out negative. Right now I am waiting for my culture result which is on Oct. 14, 2016. The validity of your medical under sputum will start on the day you will receive your culture result. My medical is only valid until Jan. 7, 2017.

I check the ceac wesbite right now and still it says "At NVC". What does "in transit" means? and what does it mean when it says "ready"? I got my interview letter (P4) last Aug. 13, 2016

During my medical, they told me that the medical has 2 types of validity: 3 months and 6 months. Maybe for those who are not under sputum their medical is valid for 6 months coz mine under sputum is only valid for 3 monthsly only. :content::)

"In transit" means that your case is on its way to the embassy. So when it says "ready" it means that your case has arrived there.

You underwent sputum examination as well? Just like my husband... he just had his pulmo consultation on the 18th.

How many weeks did you wait for your case to c0mplete?you did n0t get any RFE?

After paying the AOS, my husband mailed out first his financial docs together the AOS filled up form with his original signature on April 30, 2016. He mailed out the civil docs on June 29, 2016 bec I have to get the latest civil docs with PSA. The NVC received those docs on July 5, 2016. I got CC August 5, 2016. We didnt receive any RFE :)

If you're positive with sputum you need to undergo 6 months treatment. Let say you have negative sputum but positive culture still you need to undergo 6 months treatment. Good luck with your medical :)
