Will 7 year old become citizen when I do? (split)

Hi everyone.... I have a question... I will apply N-400 next november and I have my minor son who is 7 years and a green card holder from my past marrige so can I apply for him with me or I must wait till I get the citizenship then apply N-600 for him??

Your son will become a USC when you do. First handle your passport and when you have your naturalization certificate back, apply for his.

I'd still spring $600 for his own certificate of citizenship when all done so he has something beyond a passport as proof of citizenship. But that's just me.
