Hi Everyone,

I know this is a silly question and I am 99.9% sure I know the answer but I wanted to confirm with all of you friendly people on this site as everyone has helped me and my husband immensely through this process.

My husband was issued his 2 year green card last April and we have booked a trip to Australia (where he is from) in June. It's okay for him to travel on this 2 year green card, correct? Does he need anything else? Will he have troubles getting back in? Just wanting to know if there is anything else we need to do or what to expect.

If anyone can elighten me I would appreciate it ASAP. :) Thanks so much in advance!!!!

Erin,

He'll need his passport in addition to his Green Card.

Whether or not he'll have trouble getting back into the USA could depend on any number of things. Make sure he behaves himself while out of the country, and doesn't do anything that could be construed as abandoning his LPR status.
