Fairly standard email when there has been a name hit due to a common name to someone who is in the databases. The majority of these are resolved fairly quickly. Security checks unfortunately take the time they take. Have seen other members receiving same email stating 6 months that have received the approvals way before that timeframe. Irishgirl comes to mind straight up. Them stating 6 months is akin to the standard email from service center when one gets NOA saying its going to take up to 990 days to process. Don't pay too much attention to their timeframe and try not to worry.

Enjoy your time with Nadya

Aussie is correct in what she told you. They cannot really give you a definite timeframe so they send out a canned response. Enjoy your trip and have fun with Nadya.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

is this in relation to the new law that was put into effect about checking into the beneficiary's background?

No, I was way before this period. Thanks to all for being so wonderful. I will have a good time. I would expect things to be emotional for the both of us. I will write when I get back.
