I've got a boring day of studying planned today. I hope you're all doing something more fun. Wish I were going to see wildflowers! Well, actually not so much, they'd probably just make me sneeze. :P

Enjoy your day!

Blue bonnets are a-blooming on the Texas highways!!! Seems a bit early, but we've got a lot of spring color going on around here.

I went to the nursery to buy some plants . . . particularly ones that bloom . . . because I need to see some color and the skies have been gray all week. Where's that rain?????

oh, gray skies make for late waking . . . going to Daylight "savings" time does not save me anything! :crying:

Awww, that reminds me of my favorite song - Gulf Coast Highway by Nanci Griffith. You know it?

Morning everyone! It's a beautiful day here in the North Georgia Mountains. Off to meet with the wedding plannner to finalize menu's, place settings, and all that good stuff. I am real nervous about going forward with this since our interview is 5/2 and the wedding is being planned for 6/23. But fear and worry is a lack of faith in God and He has brought us this far so I know He will make sure what is to be will be when it needs to be. Hope everyone enjoys this great Spring day.

Nope, don't know it . . . can you hum a few bars???

No can do. :P But here are the lyrics. Make me cry everytime...

Gulf Coast Highway

He worked the rails

He worked the rice fields

With their cool dark wells

He worked the oil rigs in the

Gulf of Mexico

The only thing we've ever owned

Is this old house here by the road

And when he dies he says he'll catch

Some blackbird's wing

Then he will fly away to Heaven come

Some sweet blue bonnet spring

She walked through springtime

When I was home

The days were sweet

The nights were warm

The seasons change, the jobs would

Come... the flowers fade

This old house felt so alone

When the work took me away

And when she dies she says, she'll

Catch some blackbirds wing

Then she will fly away to Heaven come

Some sweet blue bonnet spring

Highway 90

The jobs are gone

We tend our garden

We set the sun

This is the only place on earth

Blue bonnets grow

Once a year they come and go

At this old house here by the road

And when we die we say, we'll

Catch some blackbirds wing

Then we will fly away to Heaven come

Some sweet blue bonnet spring

And when we die we say, we'll

Catch some blackbirds wing

We will fly away together come

Some sweet blue bonnet spring

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a good day. My cousin and his kids are in town so I think we're taking them to the zoo today.

Have a good one!

Cloudy and misty in San Antonio.... working in the garden this morning. We expanded our water garden with a new pond -- slightly lower level than the first, with a small waterfall connecting the two. We put it in a couple of weeks ago.... still dinking with the waterfall and just starting with getting it planted.

Now blooming:

Dang Image Shack is so slow right now. Gotta go but I will post more later....

That's a rather sad song but i do like the chorus . . .

I don't have any "now blooming" photos yet to add to MK's offerings . . . but I think I am getting close!!! My day lilies are coming in nice and strong but no blooming stalks yet!

Ahhh sleep. I slept late too. Rolled out of bed about 9:30, we all decided to go fishing. It was 80 degrees here and it was GLORIOUS. It was Moh's first time fishing, and my first in years. We had a ball. We didn't catch a thing, but we had fun. But alas... his tan will always be better then mine. boo hoo (That's our inside joke.) Tonight I might sneak off the mall while he's working. Do some "girlie" shopping. Hope everyone else enjoyed the day.
