So I received email that my case was approved on the 11th of this month and I just received my NOA2 today in the mail. In the NOA2 it says that the NVC should send me my case number in the mail within 2-4 weeks and that I should wait at least 1 month before contacting them if I still need my case number. However, I have read on other K-1 visa help sites to email the NVC or call them just a week after being approved to get your case number. My beneficiary is in the Philippines and from what I have read things can proceed forward as soon as the case arrives in the Manila embassy. So really all I would like to know is, should I just wait right now for a letter? Or should I go ahead and try to make contact come around the 18th? Any insight is greatly appreciated, thank you.
