Sputum culture test

Hello guys

I done my medical examination on 31st july in IOM dhaka.they got scar on my lung and i had go thourgh sputum culture test. Doctor told me that she already send email to us embassy that i go through to this test and i dont need to contract with dhaka embassy.this test will take 8 weeks and after that they will call me and send the result to embassy. Embassy then give me a new interview date.I am very much frastated :(. I already give my sputum three days. Doctor told me that the new date will be 7 to 14 days later after embassy get the medical result. Did anybody have this same experience? Please share with me.thanks in advance.

Hello guys,

My 60 day of sputum culture test completed in october 4. I did not get any call from medical center named IOM. Then i called them in october 9. Then they told me my sputum culture test is negetive and they sent report to the embassy in october 6. Now i wait for new interview date. How many days the embassy will take to give me a new interview date? My visa type cr1 and embassy is dhaka embassy.

I would suggest calling your embassy and ask about rescheduling your interview.

Thank you so much for your reply. When i had done my medicle the doctor told me that they send the medical result to the embassy and after getting the result the embassy will give me a new interview date. I told them is there any option to reschedule the interview? She said no. In that situation what shall i do? Plz advice.

I would still suggest calling your embassy to follow up your case and ask about rescheduling. The rules and procedures for each country are different, so the best advice would be to call.

Hello guys

My sputum culture test result come out as negetive in october 4. Medical center sent report in october 6 to the embassy. Now embassy will give me a new interview date. My question is will embassy send me a new appointment letter just like they send me before? I am confused. Plz help. My visa class is cr1. Thanks in advance.

Do they keep your passport, if yes you don't need another interview.. if no, you might sent it to them via mail And also you can check your CEAC if you already have updates or your files maybe been touched or just try to email or call them... they might also give you a call if you expecting a second interview or sending you an email...good luck

Thank you Lmmjvsd for your quick reply. My interview date was 17 agust. I had done my medical at 31 july. I need to go under sputum culture. Then the doctor told me that they already inform the embassy about that test and i did not attend to the interview. After completing the test they will sent the report to the embassy and then embassy give me a new interview date. My sputum test already complet and they sent the report to the embassy in october 6. Now i am confused if the enbassy will send me a new interview letter?

Atleast for China, if you reschedule your appointment, you are not issued a new interview letter. I suspect this is the same at other embassy's around the world. They can't logically be asked to send new letters for every reschedule, especially because in many places you can reschedule to the next day if a slot opens.

Just show up at the appropriate time, and bring your medical documents, as well as any additional documents you wish to bring. Your information is stored in their system, and validated by your passport. My Wife did not bring an interview letter with her for her interview. She brought additional documents to establish the validity of our relationship, she brought her Medical packet from the Civil Surgeon, her DS-160 form (DS-260 for you), and all of the other requested documents as provided in Packet 4 by the Embassy.
