Dear all : I am Taiwanese. I have a similar problem like Ozzac. I have to get my French Police Certificate. And my NOA-2 wil expire on 29 September and I have already paid my K1 I-160 form fee. Unfortunately, the French Police only provide the Police Certificate in French. They don't provide any other languages of Police Certificate at all. So, I have to translate my French Police Certificate in English and make this paper an notarization public. I don't even know how to do and what to do about translating and notarizing this French Police Certificate that wil be used for the American Embassy in Taiwan. Can anyone give me the information about how to do legal notarization public and translation for my French Police Cerificate ?? Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much all of you for your advice and guidance! I have written to the US embassy in Frankfurt and they mentioned that if the NOA2 expires before the visa interview, they need a signed statement (original) from my fiancée stating that she still wishes to marry me in order to extend it.

Now, do you think I should wait until I receive the Japanese police record to send to the embassy the documents listed on the checklist or should I go ahead and send what I have in order to gain some time?

Hi nanamora,

The Japanese embassy in Frankfurt doesn't request any documents, they just want to know why you need it. I think it would be helpful to bring them a copy of the checklist you get from the US embassy indicating that you need police records for all the countries where you lived from the age of 16. Don't forget to bring your passport with you as well. Hope it helps!

Dear Ozzac,

Yes thank you for your reply ^_^

Btw yes I did visit the Japan Embassy in my country. All the people there were very nice.

You are right about waiting time for them to process the Japan Police Record is 2-3 months (^_^;)

Hopefully it would be done faster.

All worth it, lets fighting to close the distance!!!

Good luck for all of us.

Once again thank you Ozzac *\(^o^)/*
