Just curious.

My wife will have her interview soon, pretty early in the morning. (Turkey is 6 hours ahead.....7 when they finally change to "daylight savings time"...which they haven't yet). So, just a few hours after I "TRY" to go to bed and get some sleep that night, she'll be starting her interview at the embassy in Ankara.

Are the the embassies/consulates generally pretty good about being on time? In other words, if my wife is scheduled for a certain time, will she actually get her interview at that time?

Or are they more like a "doctor's office".........where if your appt. is scheduled for 10, that basically means you may not see the doctor until noon?

My wife's interview was at 8:30 am, and she got out and called me right away at about 9:50am. So no, you don't wait there that long.

Not sure how Turkey works, but many consulates give the appointment time to several people and they all get in on time, but it just depends on where you are in the line to see how long you wait to be called to the window.

(I like the doctor's office analogy too...nice morning laugh..)

That's good to know/hear...

As an aside...and because am part Turkish and always curious...how come Turkey isn't listed in the Embassy section? Neither Ankara or Istanbul (there may be others too)...or did I miss something? I read a note at the bottom that suggest PMing the admin to add a missing country/embassy...have you guys thought about doing that?

(There are many Turkish beneficiaries that might benefit.)

The Embassy links are put up when someone requests it. Sounds like the time might be now, and the person might be you!

Post a request in the Site Discussion forum & Cap'n will see it. You might look up some past Ankara users and ask them to copy their experience/review/info into the new page once it is up.
