I am pretty sure Germany does not have anywhere near the numbers of injurie or deaths attributed to guns, than that of the USA.

If you remove the Democrat controlled areas probably similar.

The USA only had only around 75,000 deaths attributed to guns in 2015, so clearly, it has not gun problem.

So you admit then, that European laws are working, or are you saying that gun violence attributed to "Islamic terrorism" in Europe is tiny, compared to that of the USA? Also given that Europeans are considered more liberal Americans, doesn't that suggest that liberalism isn't to blame for America's gun problem? Oh wait, you believe that there aren't many black people in European cities?

The histories etc are very very different, for example I have had a gun pointed at me, but in the UK not US. Does that prove anything? Lots more knife crime etc in the UK.

You can argue about the past, more interested in the future. Now there was no Muslim crime or so minuscule at to be irrelevant during in my lifetime, the curve is definitely heading one way.

Gun deaths in the US has as the numbers show been on decline for many years, there is certainly a concentration in certain areas. And seemingly an unwillingness amongst those in charge of those areas to address it.

Seems they are more comfortable hitting the irrelevant and easy targets so they can say they are doing something...

The problem is that some people see everything in terms of Liberals vs conservatives. When you have one political party that has gone out of its way to alienate minorities, the other party ends up not feeling particularly motivated to change things. Add in a long history of segregation of US cities by economic lines, it's very easy for the wealthy to ignore solutions that might cost them money, and instead allow the myth to persist that if you are poor in America, then it's entirely your own fault, when clearly the system has been crafted to keep people poor.

There are nowhere near 75k gun deaths in 2015.

Sorry, the numbers is only around 35000 gun deaths. There were around 75000 non fatal injuries, so again, no gun problem at all ?

Well the system is crafted by the major backers to keep them rich, but the effect is similar.

And then we have buying of the Polis with benefits etc, both do that in different ways.

It has of course all been done before, see Roman Empire, we even have games! Grain from Egypt, food stamps, the comparison is frightening.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I just found this polifact article. It actually looks like gun deaths severely dropped in 2014 and 2015. Makes be wonder if they were using two datasets.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/oct/05/viral-image/fact-checking-comparison-gun-deaths-and-terrorism-/

The 2014 and 2015 figures would appear to be exclusive of sucide by firearm. But even between the 2014 and 2015 figure, there would seem to be a different basis for the numbers. If gun homicides had dropped roughly 25% year over year, we would have heard about that.

Looks like they come from here:

I don't see any reference to suicide only though.

The pre-2014 figures come from elsewhere andmust include suicides. You're not getting to 30k + without the suicide by firearm count. But the 2014 and 2015 figures in your link actually show an increase in gun deaths while the chart in the PF article shows a rapid decline. Doesn't add up.

I looked in to it a bit more. Suicides are included they are simply delayed by a period of time for the current year (2016).

The PF article was written mid 2015 so it hadn't fully tabulated.

I think the older numbers are CDC related but apparently are extrapolated.
