I-751 with waiver, no NOA1

Hello everybody,

I'm back. My ex-husband divorced me, and left me with my son in Guam (no big deal, I absolutely love it). After a lot of soul searching I've decided (very last minute!) to renew my green card, which expires on August 19th.

I sent all my stuff on August 12th, and because I live on the other side of the world compared to California, my package hasn't been delivered just yet. My question is: can I go ahead and make an info pass to get my passport stamped even though I have No proofs to have mailed my package?what will happen to me if *knock on wood* I get pulled over and I can't prove that I have mailed everything? What about my job? They have been telling me that I need to prove that my green card is not completely expired.

You will get I-751 NOA1 receipt letter that will extend your status as a conditional resident for a period of up to one year.

You can present the NOA1 to your employer if they question about your green card expiration date.

You cannot get an I-551 stamp without your NOA1.

My impression is that you cannot reasonably expect to be provided a USCIS benefit (stamping of your passport) when USCIS has yet to receive your initial I-751 petition and accompanying documentation. As has been mentioned, you will likely have to wait until you have received your Form I-751 petition receipt/status extension letter (NOA1) from USCIS.

When should I expect the NOA1 to be mailed out after my package has been delivered to CA?
