We applied on Feburary 16 for the Adjustment of Status, Advance Parole and Employment Permission. It's now 6 months since we applied and while we got asked for a RFE in May for translations of Birth Certificates there's no other information. I replied in about a week to the RFE and was notified on Jul 12th that they had received the update. Since then nothing. No information. I've called the USCIS and asked for information today, and they told me they would make a request for status, and that I should receive an updated in 30 days.

This is beyond frustrating. Has anyone had these documents take this long to process? Are we just caught in some other problem that's delaying things? I asked for an update once before and get nothing much in reply.

What can I do about this? Can I do anything to update the process or gain visibility into what's going on?

Tony

Got our reply today. Apparently the RFE resets the clock. They have 90 days from the receipt of the response to process the request. We are 30 plus a few days into that new 90 day window. Frustrating and obnoxious but at least I know what's going on now.

I applied in February as well and got my green card in early May. Keep sending requests Tony, not sure why is taking longer than usual.
