I started filling for my family in Cameroon with an immigration lawyer and after my approval notice with a case number came, my layer requested for more paperwork which I provided but she did not submit them and after a year I had a letter from the NVC informing me that I had to resubmit all the documents and repay visa processing fee. Can someone tell me what forms I need or the website that can provide me with the information I need to continue as I am trying to complete the process without a lawyer.

Welcome to the forum.

Assuming that due to the forum placement Permanent Resident (PR) of your question, that you are a PR, you can start the process to bring your children over to the US. It will take longer if your are a PR, and not a USC. You must be a US Citizen (USC) to file for other family members. The link previously provided is a good place to start.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

It does explain it. The process for a US citizen and a greencard holder are the same, it just takes longer for a greencard holder.
