hey I have a question since you took the interview recently.

What kind of documents they asked for? I don't know if I should take the original AOS forms just in case since my husband's case is coming from NVC.

Also did you get your visa issue yet?

Hi , I took all the documents they list on the interview date, birth certificate, police certificate, nikanama, photos,

Better to take it with u AOS if they ask so ur husband will have it ready.

I was put on Administrative Processing n took my passport I think will take month or so to complete my case

I have read that you do not need the police certificate, it even states so in the interview letter that it is unobtainable.

I haven't been asked of AOS forms because everything was good at the NVC. I am just asking whether I should take it just to be on the safe side. I can print out i864 since i am the sponsor however i also did i864a for my brother, so do i need original or can i send copies.

I also took the copy n they didn't ask for AOS cuz they have already.

And police certificate they did ask from me at interview.. Some CO ask but better to have police certificate.

Thanks for answering all my questions.

I guess I will ask my brother to scan and send me his signed AOS form and I will print the rest here.

We are working on the police certificate but hopefully it is not needed.

I have one last question if you don't mind me asking, do you happen to know whether my husband should renew his passport now since his passport expires April 2017, which is 4 months after the interview? according to the embassy, his passport should be renew 2 months before visa issuance and i am worried that if his visa is issued the same day as his interview, will they accept his renewed passport or no. I am a little confused. I would have called the embassy but they do not take phone calls in regards to visa immigration questions.

You DO NOT need a police cert from Pakistan, this has not been a requirement for over a year, you will not be asked for it and having one would not positively influence your case

and yes you should renew the passport, generally you need 6 months of validity left on it to enter the US

In the interview letter they did not ask for it and when I emailed embassy 2 months back they stated the same. But we are doing it for precautionary purpose.

My main concerns are his passport and my aos forms. Should I take aos forms for my brother since I did i864a with him? If yes will copies be okay?

There is absolutely no need at all whatsoever to bother getting police reports, there is no precaution, it is a waste of your time

yes you should bring copies of everything that was submitted including the AoS packet, the only thing that should be original there is the signature on the I864/I864a forms assuming you used tax transcripts, if you submitted complete copies of tax returns, those need to be "originals" meaning you need to make sure your signature is on them
