Error on G-325A and I-130 is approved

My I-130 for my wife was approved last week and over the weekend I noticed that I made spelling error on my wife's G-325A form. I spelled her Mother's name incorrectly. Now my question is that USCIS didn't notice and they already approved it but since the name doesn't match her certificate and her passport, is this going to be an issue? If so, how can I correct this information. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not a big deal. When you fill out the DS-260 at NVC be sure to get it right.

I had wrong birth year for my husband's mother by put correct year on Ds-260.

And how would USCIS know her name is wrong they aren't the ones getting the background checks. Just correct it on the DS-260.

Thank you for quick response. I was going to make sure I put the correct name on DS-260. I am just afraid that they may question this difference at the interview and may put my case in Administrative Processing. Do you know why was your case in Administrative processing?

We were in AP 5 days because the system was acting up on interview day and not giving her (the CO) the results she needed. Nothing major.

This is just an FYI that may be useful to all the VJ members....

I called USCIS and NVC for the error on G-325A. Since the I-130 was already approved, USCIS couldn't do anything as it was outside of their jurisdiction. They suggested that I can send a written request to the service center that approved my petition so they can try to make the correction or I can notify at the time of interview. This answer was good but I was not satisfied so I called NVC. They still have not received my file but talking to agent helped. He said that when I fill out Ds-260, I can correct the my wife's mother's name as it is one of required piece of information and it should be good from there.

I hope this information can be helpful to someone else if they goof up like me.

I had a similar issue. I called NVC they said to just send them a simple signed memo with AOS support documents. I also attached the supporting documents. Eg. Birth Certificate.
