Usually the questions concentrate on proof that the USC has been in the USA long enough and, if the parents are not married, ensuring the child is indeed the biological child of a USC.

Will the USC be present?

I have an appointment for CRBA, SSN and passport for my new born baby.
Do I have to carry copies of all the original documents required for CRBA?

I have similar questions on this thread... "http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/605707-have-some-questions-before-i-file-crba/?p=8279412"

What I plan on doing is ....

1. Bring original

2. Bring certified English translation

3. Bring 1 photocopy of the original

4. Bring 1 photocopy of the English translation

The way I understand the instructions is they will look at the originals to verify everything is in order. And they will keep the photocopies.

Thank you Chitti.

1. Do you have your son birth certificate (his name listed as First Name then Last name)??

2. Did you get your son birth certificate from Hyderabad? If so, how long did it take?

3. Why did they as for your passport? Which exit/entry stamp? did you apply for your son's US passport also?

Thank you.

CRBA interview process was simple, only I was asked for CRBA application and my passport for entry/exit stamp. No other questions were asked.

I havn't applied for exit visa.

Yes, his name is listed as First Middle Last name

2. Did you get your son birth certificate from Hyderabad? If so, how long did it take?

from Karimnagar

3. Why did they as for your passport? Which exit/entry stamp? did you apply for your son's US passport also?

Proof of the U.S. citizen parent's physical presence in the U.S. (This is not required if BOTH parents are U.S. citizens.) For children born to one U.S. citizen and one foreign national, the U.S. citizen parent will need to show five years of physical presence in the U.S., two of which must be after the age of 14. Examples of items that show physical presence are school transcripts, income tax returns with Form W-2, Social Security earnings history, pay receipts, passport entry/exit stamps in current and previous passports, etc.

Thank you very much for this information.

I am US citizen and my wife is greencard. So, i will follow your instructions.

Please kindly share your experience with Exit VISA? I am worried this may take long time.

Did you apply for your kid passport same time as that of CRBA?

Exit visa is valid for 10 days only, as my son is going to stay in India for 2 more months. So I didn't apply for exit visa

For exit visa you can take the help of FRO consultant: Prakash Reddy 9989001231. His fee Rs500 only. I havn't used his services but spoke to him couple of times and I felt he is a reliable person. His office is 0.5 km from US consulate.

Dear Chitti,

I am  the process of doing paperwork for our newborn born in India. I have her prenatal papers from doctors in USA, records of delivery in hospital in India and have applied for municipality birth certificate. Both me and my wife are US citizens and married for more then 10 yrs. Do they ask for DNA test for CRBA routinely. Do we need to show any photographs of the baby in the hospital at the time of birth with parents ? Is there any other paperwork required which I am missing ? I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks
