Hi!

My mom is 69 and is living alone. I am applying for my US Citizenship in 4 months and after that I plan to sponsor her, so she doesn't have to live alone in her old age.

How long does it typically take for a parent to get PR?

the process takes a year, but she isn't that old

how do you plan for her to have health insurance? the immigration officer can ask about it

Is she independently wealthy?

Pretty straight forward process.

Health insurance us something you should definitely look into now. Especially if there is any pre-existing condition. Sticker shock is the biggest issue with cases like yours.

I agree, is she can not afford to live here petitioning her is a waste of time.
