Hi guys

I got approved easily and very quickly in my CR1 interview today in Cairo. I was not asked anything about my wife and the officer was extremely nice and friendly. She told me my visa has been approved and I asked her whether there's any admin processing. She double checked the system and said I'm correct and that there will be some admin processing. I even asked her whether she wants to see any pics of me and my wife and she said no we're fine and that she believes me and that everything looks great.

She took my passport and told me it should be quick and asked me whether I had any travel plans soon to which I answered NO. I was not handed a 221g form before leaving. She ended the appointment by smiling and told me you will be contacted by Aramex service to pickup your passport when it's done.

I'm assuming this is just the regular admin processing which should be over pretty fast ?

Currently, CEAC tracking website says admin processing and was just updated today.

I'm happy and optimistic but will for sure be much happier when I get my passport back. Any insights ?

Cheers!

Congratulations

normal AP for proessing the visa and document packet for your trip

remember to travel within 6 months of your medical exam

do not open the packet and keep with you on the plane / some try to put it in checked in luggage and cause themself a problem when they do not have it at POE

Thank you very much .. sounds very re-assuring :)

I will definitely travel to the US as soon as I get the visa.

By no travel plans I meant travel to other countries while my passport is with them for issuing the visa :)

Cheers!
