Hello guys, is it true that the length of waiting for noa2 depends also on what state in u. S. You are leaving? Our petition was sent to csc tho and my fiance lives in south carolina. I heard if you are living in south carolina, you have to wait longer as compare to other states.

Not true anymore.

Before the beginning of 2015 i-129fs were sent to different Service Centers depending on what state you live in and they all had different processing times. Nowadays all i-129fs are sent to California, so they're all on same processing time now.

However, the processing times can still differ from case to case. Some get approved in 2 months, others in 6 or longer. But it has nothing to do with where you live.

No he's wrong on that one. As usual lawyers don't know much about this process unfortunately, that's why many VJers advice you not to hire one for this.

We filed back in December 2015 and were only approved this June, so sometimes it takes a bit longer. It all depends on how difficult your case is and who picks it up and when. It's a bit of a lottery, some are lucky, some aren't.

Good luck on your journey. :)

Glad that you were approved already. Wow that took long tho, but atleast. Ours is straight forward case only, we did all the documentation as well, the only thing our lawyer did was check for the correctness of the petition. Lol

Thank you!

Our case was very straight-forward too, a very simple case. Yet it took almost 6 months and no RFE. There are just no guarantees when it comes to USCIS, they do as they please. =/

My fiance is from texas and it took us almost 3months from noa1 to noa2.

I studied the patterns of filers with similar profile as ours. (Sent to TSC, forwarded to CSC and beneficiary's country PH.) I predicted to get our Noa2 july 18 base on available data. But we got our noa2 by july 20. My analysis missed by 2days but the same week. not too bad.

I guess it is not too random after all.

No K-1s have been sent to TSC since the beginning of 2015. They're all being sent to a lockbox i Dallas, but that's not the same as Texas Service Center.

So your case was never trasferred, it went straight to CSC from the lockbox. :)

You filed in may / you are well within the timefrime

don't forget the 3 day holidays within this time Memorial Day and 4th of jUly weekends

mostly this depends on number of applicaitons USCIS receives and the amount of documents you have sent in that need to be researched

just pray for no RFE

Looking at your timeline (signature) raises several question marks about our own case. We filed the I-129F in early April. Finally received our NOA2 on 07 July and as of yesterday (12 August) NVC still hadn't received our petition from USCIS. Yours looks like it took only eleven days to reach NVC.

After five weeks of waiting, I have to wonder if our case is lost.

I agree! That is a bit late. What time do you usually call NVC? My friend mentioned that when his fiance called, his fiance was told to call back after several weeks. Calling 5 hours after on the same day, he got the case number.

My fiance used to call NVC around 9pm everyday to check. Normally, NVC folks would recommend to call after 6weeks. I guess that is still within their normal processing timeframes

I am in the same situation. We received our NOA2 on July 1 and the NVC has not received the case file as of this morning. Once you hit the 6 week mark you can send an e-mail to NVC Research, but they won't specify what happens from there or how long it might take to find the missing paperwork. Good luck.
