Letter I wrote for our package I'm mailing out next week. Does this look ok? Also - Should I include a letter discussing the details/timeline of our relationship? Seems like I've read some that reference this but I'm not sure.

That's all you need for the cover letter.

Although you are living together in Argentina, I would add more documents for bona fide marriage than just two CRBAs and something with your address on. What about finances? Are they co-mingled? Joint bank account, savings, mortgage, life insurance, medical insurance, wills??

You need to show more than just living under the same roof. You need to show you have a life together, not that you are just roommates.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Thanks.

WE don't have any joint accounts - I never bothered opening one up here due to the banking challenges here. No mortgage on our house.

I could include copy of the payment of our medical insurance - he's been paying that for me for years. Or perhaps something showing he has been an authorized signer on my US credit card account?

I thought our marriage license, the pictures of us over the years, the fact we have children together (who are almost 4) and our trips back and forth together to see family is proof of our on-going relationship.

You'd think that would be enough...but this is USCIS we are dealing with.

A marriage certificate proves a marriage took place. It doesn't prove that the two people married for love, not a green card.

Children do not necessarily mean the marriage is genuine for the same reason that a childless marriage would not necessarily be bogus.

Photos are good. Photos of you with his family and his with yours are very good. Joint travel is also good (reservation confirmation from the airline with all names on).

The more different types of evidence you can send, the better. Definitely send the paperwork to show he is a signatory on your credit card.

lost_at_sea - Our intention is to open a joint account once we get to the US (we're leaving for US in Oct and will be buying a house there, then husband will return to Arg). We didn't do it here as again, the banking system has always presented some unique challenges in Argentina .

Thanks - we've been together for 6 years so we have lots of pictures together! I could get notarized statements as well if need be from his family or mine, just haven't b/c it seemed superfluous. But maybe I'll ask his mom to write one, esp since her bf is a notary so he can just notarize it too :)

Statement from friends and family would not hurt.

Also another financial stuff such as bank account or joint house lease or anything would be good too.

They would want to see every expect of marriage life including financial and family.

If you had kids their birth certificates with your names is best proofs

Good luck on partition.

We're not living apart though, we've been living together for 5 years. We've just never bothered to open a joint account and since we own our house in full, there aren't mortgage payments.

I've added in a copy of the local birth certificates with both our names, our health insurance bill that comes with our 4 names on it, reservation confirmations from last years trip to the US (ticket stubs I don't have b/c honestly - who saves those?!) something from my bank showing he's an authorized user, and pics (with the dates/comments on them from FB) from throughout the years - including lots of pics of us with our families. By the time the interview comes around, we'll have a joint bank account in the US and a lease and/or mortgage payment with both our names on it so I'm just not going to stress about it.
