We interviewed in Naples on Wednesday and picked up the Visa today. The visa has the name of my finances ITALIAN EX-WIFE printed as the petitioner. Not me, the AMERICAN FIANCÉ who filed the petition. How does a mistake like this happen?! Its SO bizarre! We already emailed the embassy. And we don't even know now what the hell is in the sealed packet. We are in utter shock right now.

Wow- what a mistake!

The embassy should be able to correct that quickly, but I'd definitely ask them to look through the packet too in case they made the same mistake in there, and make sure you keep any emails/ take names of people at the embassy you talk to about this in case it becomes an issue at AOS stage.

Congratulations on your approval!!! I hope the straighten that out for you quickly. My fiance will be doing his interview there also. How did it go other than the major screw up with the ex-wife's name??

I've written a very comprehensive review that I believe will be very helpful to those interviewing at Naples. But I won't post it until after we've entered the US which we HOPE will be August 28th if this debacle gets sorted out quickly enough. So check back for the review! I checked your timeline, I will likely be posting it before your interview. Thank you and good luck to you!

Thank you! This was reassuring words and sound advice!
