So I am here on F1 visa. Still in status. I got married this June to my husband who is a USC. We are both in our final year of college( he is graduate and I am undergrad). This is one reason we decided it will be a good time to start a family. We have a 7 year age difference. Which I think is ok. But not sure if it will be a problem.

My issue is, we are both college students. We have a joint account, lease, utilities, car registration and car insurance. We both have health insurance from school because it's cheaper so it doesn't have us joint. we had a court wedding and don't really have pictures. He is estranged from his family and And my family is back home but they know of us.

I'm worried our case is not strong enough and we will be denied. What can we do to prove its a bonafied marriage. We have been living like a typical college couple who are just starting out. We haven't filed taxes jointly because we just got married. Advice please!

Sounds like you have pretty solid evidence- you live together, have been for a while, and can prove that, and you are financially joint.

Don't worry! I think you guys will be okay! Try to gather as much evidence as possible. You mentioned a lease, utilities, etc! Those are all good things to have. When I submitted my files, I also included small, seemingly insignificant things, such as copies of our rewards cards for gas stations, grocery stores, and movie theatres. Photos also help a lot too, so it's always nice to submit plenty of them! Among other things I included were birthday cards, flight boarding passes, and hotel reservations.

Just remember that every case is unique, so don't worry too much if you see your case is very different from someone else's :)
