Hi everyone,

I came to US with fiance visa in 2006. I filed AOS on August 2006. My biometrics was in September and my case was transfered to California service center in September also. Since then I have not heard anything about my case, still pending . No notice for missing documents or interview date!

I called Uscis 2 weeks ago but they told me to wait since my case is within normal prossesing time.

I am getting little bit worried, since no touch for more than 2 months. Do you guys have any ideas why I am waiting that long :(

Thanks for your help in advance,

If I were you I would make an infopass appointment. Others will tell you just to wait but I'm the kind of person who usually tries everything to get some info. Good luck!

There has been some recent approvals, from that time frame or close to it, and still others are waiting. I'm wondering can you already do a service request? Maybe an infopass would also be of use. Hope you hear something soon.

We filed AOS in July of 2006. We were also transferred to Cali. So far all we've been able to find out is name checks apparently aren't finished yet. That *might* be the hold up with yours too.

I have heard about infopass. I think some people had bad experiences so I am not sure about it!!

What is a service request, can you explain more please?

Thanks,

That is what my husband and I was thinking too. It might be the name checks. I read in one the topics here that they are not scheduling the interview anymore before name checks is done since 2007??

Yes I am still waiting too. I sent mine in the first week of Sept 06 and have had a couple of updates on my I485 but no approval yet. I'm wondering just how long the green card takes??? For me its been 6 months.

Ditto on the name check but we filed in August

still waiting, still hoping

It would make a great Birthday present to be approved, i can tell you (they have 10 days, lol) but this would be me not holding my breath...

Wow, this does seem to be excessive, especially with CSC who has been doing AOS approvals in less than two months without an interview. I would follow the recommendation of doing an infopass, that just doesn't seem right.

Seems like we have a similar timeline. Hope your case (and mine :)) would be approved before your b-day!

That's what I am wondering too. Seems like timeline varies between 4-8 months and in some cases longer!
