Good to hear that, Usually when your priority date comes under the cut off date, they start the process, my case took a bit longer, i had to send e mails to them and call them for a while, My petition was accepted in January 2014, let me share the e mail which i forwarded on Sun 1/3/2016 3:40 PM to NVC

Dear Concerned,

Reference to my below e-mail, It has been 5 months that I am waiting for the response, you are again requested to kindly confirm status of my case please.

I will be grateful. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Reference to my case details below, and the present cut-off date for F2A category “01MAR14” in September 2015 which indicates that my priority date of “07Jan2014” is earlier then the cut-off date, I have not received any email/postal mail from NVC on the subject of submitting any documentation which may be required from my side. Only acceptance letter received (Copy Attached).

As my priority date is earlier then the cut-off date, I would like to know the status of my case, is there any documentation required from my end which is pending as I did not receive any directions from the NVC.

The Postal Address in my petition is same as current both of USA & of my Native Country, If there is any requirement from my end, it may please be re-communicated to me via email or postal so that I may submit the required documents and my case can be processed further.

Thank you.

Then i received a response on Wed 1/13/2016 9:16 PM from NVC stating,

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: ISL2014641018 filed by MOMINA TAHIR on behalf of ASAD MUNIR BUTT.

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

After this the actual work got started bro. visa fees , AOS, Affidavit of support etc.

Good luck to you.

I have deleted some of the personal information from the e mails. hope you understand.

And remember, your cause wont directly come to your respective consulate after cut off date in under the priority date, now the NVC will request multiple online documents to be filled online from you, pay multiple fees, then after all fee s are paid, they will request hard affidavit of support of your petitioner and if joint sponsor then of his/her aswell in hard copies at NVC along with various certificates etc. when they recieve the document they usually take 30 days for processing, and if nothing is missing then they send your case to your respective consulate, then in Pakistan as per current inflow of application, it usually takes 1.5 months after the application approved case from NVC reaches embassy for them to schedule an interview.

i hope this was helpful.

Not being negative but cut off date is half work done, if everything goes smooth like all your documents are in order and you do everything in order, 6 to 8 months till you get your visa in your hand - but all approx and in normal conditions. sometimes it may take longer .
